Channel 10 tease a Hemsworth is headed into the jungle on new season of I'm A Celebrity... after the first contestant was revealed

Channel Ten has teased a major Aussie star could be heading into the jungle ahead of the upcoming season of I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! Australia.

The network shared a clip to Instagram on Thursday with an intriguing caption which hinted that Thor star Chris Hemsworth or his brothers Liam or Luke could be making their reality TV debut.

'A Hemsworth in the Jungle?' it read.

The clip showed hosts Julia Morris and Robert Irwin standing on a wooden bridge amidst a tree-lined backdrop.

'I'm so sorry, Robert I've just got to take this call,' Julia said before placing her phone to her ear.

The comedian then hinted that it was Aussie A-lister Chris on the line, begging to be included in the 2025 lineup.

'Hello love,' she began. 'Listen. No, love, I don't think I can get you on this year.'

'Are you still in Byron? Let me see what I can do, I just don't see it happening, love.'

Julia then ended the call and turned her attention to Robert.

'I mean, seriously, cannot stop trying to get on this show,' she said to Robert before her phone rang again.

'Liam', she said, answering the call, which elicited a nod of recognition from Robert. 

He then said to camera: 'Those Hemsworths. They can't take a hint,' before Julia jumped in to set the record straight.

'This is not Liam Hemsworth, this is my masseur,' Julia jokingly responded. 

Eldest Hemsworth brother Luke was not mentioned in the teaser clip, suggesting that he may be entering the jungle.

The post was met with a flurry of chatter from fans with many suggesting that it will indeed be Luke who will appear in the 2025 season. 

One fan chimed in with: 'It will be amazing to have any of them on the show.'

Thinking outside the box, some celebrity sleuths suggested that it could be Chris' wife, Elsa Pataky who is the 'chosen' Hemsworth.

'Maybe possibly could be Elsa (Chris's wife) She's fit as a fiddle and would smash it,' one fan offered.

Another agreed, adding: 'I think it's Chris' wife Elsa (she would be the Mega Movie Actress that was hinted at earlier) and ties in with the Chris/Thor/Hemsworth hints as well.'

'And since she's also married to Chris, she is technically also a Hemsworth.'

The Hemsworth tease comes after the first celebrity heading into the jungle was revealed this week.

Matty 'J' Johnson confirmed on Wednesday morning he will be joining the 2025 line-up of contestants.

The Bachelor star, 37, joked it has been his lifelong dream to 'survive' in a jungle by eating nothing but 'zebra testicles', before asking his followers to wish him luck. 

Dubbed 'the leading man going into the jungle', Matty J was all smiles in promo pictures he shared on social media.

'Cat (or lion) is out of the bag!' Matty J wrote in the caption.

The Channel 10 series is set to drop on January 19, with Robert and Julia returning as hosts.

Comedian Kitty Flanagan, former Bachelorette Georgia Love, Married at First Sight bride Ella Ding, and Big Brother star Reggie Bird have all been rumoured to be joining the show.

The speculation kicked off when a now-deleted Instagram post teased that the cast would include 'a Radio Star, a Chart-Topper and a Stadium Superstar'.

The post, which has been taken down from the show's official Instagram, also said the cast would include a 'comedy Genius, a Pop Culture Icon, a Star of the Silver Screen, a Matinee Idol, a Leading Lady, a Sporting Hero and a Football Strongman'.
