Celebrity Traitors star Sharon Rooney has sparked concern from fans as many observed she had 'checked out' of the game during Friday night's show.

The latest installment of the BBC programme saw the Scottish actress, 38, come under fire during the tense roundtable as she and Joanne McNally, 43, faced accusations of being a Traitor.

And as Sharon faced being banished from the game, telling her fellow players to simply vote her out if they felt she was guilty, viewers at home believed that she had lost enthusiasm for the show and was 'over it'.

Taking to X, many fans shared their worries that the TV star seemed sad and distant, noting it made for an uncomfortable watch.

They penned: 'Is anyone else genuinely so uncomfortable at Sharon's reaction at the round table'

'Sharon being genuinely over it is frying me'; 'Sharon has checked out'.

'Has Sharon checked out of the game?? She looks drained and basically said they can kill her if they want.'

'I feel sorry for Sharon. Probably felt a bit of imposter syndrome and finally has the courage to speak and is then suspected to be a Traitor.'

'Sharon is so over it I just want to hug her.'

'awww it seems like sharon doesn’t even wanna be there, feels like she doesn’t like any of them.'

'Why’s Sharon so… unbothered???'

Fingers pointed at Sharon as her fellow players, led by James Blunt and Michael Sheen, accused her of changing her behaviour, noting that she's become louder and more confident in the game after being so quiet at the beginning.

Then during the mission, Sharon took umbrage at the group's decision to save James Acaster, as she noted that he didn't want to be saved and win a 'secret power'.

However, her protestations were deemed as suspicious, with Sharon having to later defend her actions at the round table.

However, the My Mad Fat Diary star did not fight back with enthusiasm or passion, causing fans to wonder if she'd had enough of the game.

The episode ended on a cliffhanger, with Sharon and Joanne's fates yet to be revealed.

Meanwhile, earlier in the episode Miranda Hart was killed by the Traitors after they feared she was getting too close to the truth.

Reading her murder letter, a devastated Miranda said: 'No! Absolutely not. Oh bottoms. I knew it. I'm so cross with myself.

'Ultimately, in my little personal story, this has been quite extraordinary that I have been able to get back and do the thing that I love professionally and do the things that I love personally, like wandering around the Scottish Highlands and being in nature and laughing and connecting.

'There were times that I didn't think that would be possible again.'
