It is an exciting time for those children who immersed themselves in the world of Greek mythology. Yes, I am talking about myself, and that is because Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey is now finally in cinemas. Offering his interpretation of Homer's classic of the same name, the story follows Odysseus as he embarks on a perilous journey home following the Trojan War.

Starring some huge names such as Matt Damon, Robert Pattinson, Tom Holland, Zendaya, Anne Hathaway and many more, The Odyssey is already receiving high praise from fans and critics alike, and now, there is yet another way to celebrate its recent release.

First released back in 2018 as the eleventh major installment in the Assassin's Creed franchise, Assassin's Creed Odyssey took players to Ancient Greece to tell the history of the Peloponnesian War between Athens and Sparta, which took place from 431 to 422 BCE.

Giving the player the choice between two protagonists: Kassandra or Alexios, they would embark on a journey across a land full to the brim with war and mythology as they take on the role of a Spartan mercenary who goes head-to-head with the Cult of Kosmos.

Receiving praise for gameplay, graphics, characters, and world design, Assassin's Creed Odyssey did also receive criticism for its over-ambition, pacing, and in typical Ubisoft style, micro-transactions. However, it is still remembered fondly, so, if you missed out on its original release, and you just so happen to have a PS Plus subscription, now is the time to make use of it.
