Call Of Duty: Warzone Officially Returns With Game-Changing Modern Warfare Map

Xbox has officially confirmed the very first details for the upcoming Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 Beta, including the dates you'll be able to try the game for yourself, and a few other surprises: including a brand-new map for Call of Duty: Warzone. If you've been looking for an excuse to jump back into the battle royale, this may well be it.

As a reminder, the Modern Warfare 4 Beta begins on August 21 for players who pre-ordered the game digitally on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC. If you don't pre-order, you'll be able to join in on the fun from August 28. The Beta ends September 1, so you'll have plenty of time to get to grips with the upcoming game.

Xbox CEO Asha Sharma confirmed on social media that the Beta will include an exclusive single-player Campaign mission called "Entrenched". On top of that, during the Beta's second weekend, players will be able to try out the new Call of Duty: Warzone Resurgence Map, Zodiac. "Both are firsts for the Call of Duty franchise, and round out a massive Beta content offering across both weekends," reads a press release.

Meanwhile, the Open Beta contains all the same multiplayer maps and modes mentioned above, plus the following Ground War maps: Combat Outpost, Imjin Farmland & Wolves Stadium. This is also where we'll be able to play the new Warzone map. We don't know a huge amount about this new map yet, but it looks like it could offer up some big changes to tempt players back to the game after all this time. We'll know for sure on August 28 when the Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 open beta kicks off properly.
