The C9 SMG is one of the best weapons in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. While some people may think a loadout that focuses on damage is a better idea for an SMG, it's a spray weapon, so the rate of fire makes up for the lack of damage it has. The smarter loadout will consider its weaknesses that don't have an obvious fix. It excels at close-quarters combat, where its rapid rate of fire and manageable recoil for quick takedowns.

The right loadout for a C9 SMG is also complemented by its perks, so remember that every part of the build works together. If you would rather use an SMG for damage, there are plenty of places you can switch out, as this build can be a great starting point for those who like to have a bit more choice in their loadouts. It's that flexibility that makes the C9 such a a popular choice for SMGs, and it'd be a mistake to keep any build set if it's not suiting your playstyle.

The Right Stuff Makes A Difference

This C9 loadout is great in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 because not only does it help with close-quarter shootouts, but it adds range to the fight. This means you can take out enemies further away and have fewer bullet drop-offs when firing at closer enemies. With an SMG, you run out of ammo fairly quickly, so you want enemies finding you one after another. This means your loadout needs to be efficient for stealth and fighting enemies head-on. Even though this loadout is excellent, don't use it in BO6's zombies mode; SMGs tend to be less effective against zombies.

Attachment

What To Add

Why

Muzzle

Suppressor

The Suppressor keeps you off the enemy radar, making you harder to track and giving you a tactical advantage.

Barrel

Long Barrel

This attachment increases your damage range, allowing you to fight enemies at a further distance.

Rear Grip

Quickdraw Grip

The Quickdraw Grip speeds up your aim-down-sights time, making you quicker.

Magazine

Extended Mag I

The Extended Mag increases your magazine size, allowing you to fire more shots before needing to reload.

Underbarrel

Ranger Foregrip

The Ranger Foregrip improves recoil control and buffs your sprint and movement speed.

A good SMG is versatile, but longer-range SMGs tend to do better than the base versions, so if you're going to change something, keep in mind that you could lose the long-range capability.

With this setup, you'll be ready to dominate any encounter, whether a close-range brawl or a mid-range skirmish. You can switch out the long barrel and quick-draw grip attachment. These are more for individual playstyle than a meta. However, don't remove the suppressor or extended mag; you don't want to end up on enemy radars, and you really don't want to run out of ammo sooner than you'd have to. The extended mag and suppressor are the most essential parts of this loadout.

Best Perks For The C9 SMG

Made For Success

When you use a C9 SMG in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, you're going to need perks that complement it. The important perks will revolve around making your operator far more agile and effective than usual. This means getting speed, better mobility, and even a higher kill streak to get the rewards of many eliminations faster. The C9 SMG wasn't made for prolonged fights, so there's no need to worry about perks that are focused on defense; this is all about aggression. Check out the video below from IsaacAndersn to see it in use.

  • Assassin: This perk lets you easily target enemies on killstreaks and gain an extra score by collecting their Bounty Packs.
  • Dexterity: Dexterity makes you a more agile combatant, letting you control your weapons better while moving and take less damage from falls.
  • Double Time: This perk significantly extends the time you can use Tactical Sprint, letting you cover more ground quickly and escape dangerous situations.
  • Enforcer: Enforcer gives you a temporary boost in speed and healing after each kill, making you much more effective in a fight.
  • Stim Shot: A Stim Shot is a fast way to heal and replenish your Tactical Sprint. It is a must-have for any build.
  • Semtex: Semtex is a powerful and versatile grenade that sticks to surfaces, which lets you set an enemy up for an explosion

You can switch out the tactical equipment, but sticky grenades will probably be better for this build than anything else. They let you set up an enemy to run into another, blow up, and make a quick trip when needed. This is a great way to cause a distraction to set up a quick headshot if required, so it works in more than one way. The best thing to do is keep the above perks because they work well with this build in Call of Duty: Black Ops. It's also smart to use it in the nostalgic Nuketown map.
