From its inception, the Call of Duty franchise has evolved quite a bit; Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 continues this growth with Operators, which are just one of the many features that make the CoD franchise so iconic. On launch, there are 21 Operators available in BO6, and collecting them all will take a bit of work and even some money. The roster includes many characters, mostly from CoD's various single-player campaigns.
Operators are player skins that allow you, at least cosmetically, to become the character you choose, just like operators in Modern Warfare 3. The operators in BO6 are split between two factions, Rogue Black Ops and Crimson One, but there's no difference between them. Some will be available immediately, while others need to be unlocked.
How To Unlock Every Operator
You've Got A Bit Of A Grind
As mentioned above, some operators are available right away, but others need to be unlocked by leveling up. Here is a complete list of all 21, split by Rogue Black Ops and Crimson One:
"Umbra" Adler | Black Ops 6: Vault Edition exclusive |
"Oblivion" Park | Black Ops 6: Vault Edition exclusive |

While four of these skins are Vault Edition exclusives and three are pre-order exclusives, the rest can be unlocked by playing the game and leveling up. There are many ways to do this in Black Ops 6, so pick the one you hate the least and start grinding.

How To Level Up Fast
Pick Your Favorite Build And Get Gaming
Eight of the 21 Operators available right now in Black Ops 6 are unlocked as player progression rewards. While you'll do this passively as you play, there are a couple of ways you can level up a bit more efficiently while you play. The usual suspects of completing daily and weekly challenges will be the simplest.
Like most FPS games, you can complete bounty-style challenges for a pretty hefty XP reward. They take some doing, but they're not too grind-y and well worth doing if you're chasing a particular Operator. If you've got free time, log on and check out what challenges are available before you load into any games.
If you're struggling to win solo, why not try queuing with some friends? Not only is any game more fun with buddies, but team-based shooters like CoD are also much easier to win when you can work with your team. Having some friends on your side allows you to keep angles covered and run a diversity of well-rounded builds in Black Ops 6, preventing you from being surprised by an enemy on the flank.
Another way you can increase your XP gain is by changing how you play. Obviously, everyone is playing to win, but making sure you focus on the objective instead of chasing kills can increase your odds of winning. Being able to frag when the game calls for it is necessary, but many game modes place the importance of a high K/D under following the actual objective. It's important to know when and where to take fights, so ensure you know how you play.
Finally, the best way to passively increase your XP gain in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is by using the Double-XP tokens that you've collected. It's pretty easy to forget you've got them lying around, so make sure you check your inventory and keep them activated. As the name suggests, you'll gain double the experience you normally would, making your long-night grinds with friends much more profitable.
