EXCLUSIVE: CAA has emerged from a signing scrum and has landed Jonathan Daviss as a client in all areas.
Daviss had hit breakout turn as Pope Heyward in the Netflix series Outer Banks. He has wrapped the final season of that show. He will next take on the iconic role of Snoop Dogg in Universal’s upcoming biopic, having emerged from a highly competitive global search led by Francine Maisler. The film will be directed by Craig Brewer and produced by Brian Grazer alongside Snoop Dogg and Death Row Pictures.
Daviss hails from Conroe, Texas and is a graduate of the British American Drama Academy’s Oxford program, trained alongside a lineage of exceptional talent including Chadwick Boseman, Ruth Negga, and Da’Vine Joy Randolph.
Daviss first appeared for Netflix in Do Revenge, directed by Jennifer Kaytin Robinson, opposite clients Maya Hawke and Camila Mendes. Then came Outer Banks, which he starred in with Madelyn Cline, Rudy Pankow and Madison Bailey. Daviss has built a following of nearly 7 million followers across social platforms.
