Busy Philipps was spotted stepping out with her new boyfriend Jon Kasbe in New York City over the weekend.

On Sunday, the 45-year-old actress modeled a chic summer dress as she stepped out for a romantic, daytime stroll with the Emmy-winning director, who is 11 years her junior.

Her outing with Kasbe comes about three months after they enjoyed a PDA-filled stroll together and she finally confirmed her first public romance since her divorce.

The Freaks and Geeks star was previously married to filmmaker Marc Silverstein, for 14 years before they announced their separation in May 2022.

The former couple are parents to Birdie Leigh, 15, and Cricket Pearl, 10.

And during her outing with her boyfriend over the weekend, the Dawson's Creek alum put on a casual display in a white, green and check-patterned midi dress with a square neckline and thin shoulder straps.

She sported sandals with black leather straps and accessorized with a silver, red pendant necklace.

She sported a pair of magenta pink sunglasses on top of her head, and her strawberry blonde hair also featured pink highlights.

She carried a black-and-white checkered phone purse and also toted around a woven basket bag on her shoulder.

Meanwhile, Kasbe was carrying a tote bag and wore an effortlessly stylish ensemble himself.

He wore a dark navy linen button-down shirt with the sleeves rolled up, a pair of white shorts and light brown, suede clogs.

Her romance with Kasbe, an Australian-Indian filmmaker, comes two years after she announced that she and Silverstein ended their marriage on her Busy Philipps Is Doing Her Best podcast in May 2022.

After 14 years of marriage, she shared that they had separated but would continue co-parenting their kids.

'It's been a really long time that Marc and I have been separated,' she revealed. 'And our kids know, our families know, our friends know.'

She explained that they had first separated in February 2021 and had been contemplating how to publicly share the news.

'Marc and I talked about it, and when we first separated, we couldn't even think about putting one of those statements out — it made us sick, both of us, truly ill. It's a journey.'

She continued: 'The surest way that Marc and I have been able to ensure the privacy of our kids that we love so f***ing much was by not involving the public.'

During their marriage, the couple welcomed Birdie and Cricket together.

'Well, we love each other very much! And we have these beautiful kids together. And there are a lot of things that really work about our relationship.'

Back in 2018, the Cougar Town actress revealed in her memoir that her close friend, Michelle Williams, had pulled her from the brink of divorcing her husband after having an 'emotional affair.'

Busy confessed in her book — titled This Will Only Hurt A Little — that her relationship with Silverstein had hit a rough patch stemming from when their first child was born which led her into seeking comfort and support from someone else.

She wrote: 'There was a man I was friends with, another dad. We’d been having lunch and stuff. Texting. Talking on the phone a lot.

'Honestly, I had a crush on him. I like him. Maybe I even loved him? He clearly liked me too.'

The actress wrote that she had felt 'unsupported' by her screenwriter husband, even calling him 'useless' and claiming he 'didn't even try' to hold Birdie when she was born.

However, it was Williams who asked her to consider working on her marriage.

'It would be really awful for two years and then you would find a new normal but honestly, if you can keep your family intact, I think you should do it.' she said Williams told her.

Philipps reveals that the couple then sought therapy, and crucially, Silverstein got individual sessions.

She said her therapist had warned her, 'Listen. Divorce f**** up children. It just does.'

However, during that time, Philipps admits she was still talking to her boyfriend, as she wrote: 'I know. That part is so sh***y. I'm sorry. I really am.'

Things did eventually improve for the parents of two after Silverstein apologized for how she felt alone after so many years.

Philipps recalled and wrote: 'Marc had recently had what I guess is called a breakthrough, and when I finally came clean about the other dude he was weirdly understanding about it.

'It's hard to explain it exactly, but he broke open in a way and totally changed the way he related to everyone, not just me.'
