'Bustling Hill' walkthrough in Crimson Desert

9 hours ago 4

The "Bustling Hill" quest in Crimson Desert is part of Chapter 3's "Pioneering" mission, a mandatory step in the campaign and a special one. Up until this point, your group has been growing, with more members always coming. Now, the Greymanes need to expand their power. Marius came up with a plan that involves sending members of the group to complete quests while Kliff takes care of the more important tasks.

In this guide, we explain how to dispatch the "Howling Hill Camp Expansion" mission during the "Bustling Hill" quest in Crimson Desert, and unlock the game's mission system.

How to dispatch the 'Howling Hill Camp Expansion' mission

The "Bustling Hill" quest begins right after you read the letter from the dragon head at the Howling Hill camp during the "A Gentle Touch" quest. The goal is to dispatch a couple Greymanes to complete the "Howling Hill Camp Expansion" mission.

The first step is to access the Howling Hill mission menu. Open the map and use the Inspect command on the Greymanes' camp by either pressing Y (Xbox) and Triangle (PlayStation), or double-clicking with a mouse on the camp. The command only works if you're properly selecting the location, which is indicated by its map icon appearing raised.

After a short cutscene that zooms into the camp, a new screen will appear. In the top left corner, you will see four tabs, with one of them being "Missions." Select it to find the only mission available: the "Howling Hill Camp Expansion."

Select it and, in the next step, you will have to choose Kliff's comrades to send out. For the "Howling Hill Camp Expansion," you only need two members, which is good considering you only have Luke and Ronald. Dispatch them by pressing F on the keyboard or X (Xbox) and Square (PlayStation) on the controller.

The "Howling Hill Camp Expansion" mission takes 17 in-game hours to complete. Although time passes faster in-game, you can speed up the process, by sleeping on a bed in your house or camp, or waiting at a bonfire. However, you can only sleep and wait for up to 12 hours, so you'll still have to wait a bit for the mission to be completed.

Once the mission is complete, you receive a message saying the mission has ended and Kliff's companions are back.

By finishing the "Howling Hill Camp Expansion," you gain 500 experience points with the Greymane faction. Completing the "Bustling Hill" quest also rewards you with a unique prize: the mission dispatch system. With this new system, you can send Kliff's group members to complete more missions to obtain experience points with factions, money, and materials.

There are two ways to find available missions. First, you can repeat the same process used during the "Bustling Hill" quest and open the map, hover over a location, and use the Inspect command. This is the best method to use when you're away and exploring.

However, if you are at the Greymanes' camp, you want to talk to Ross, on the west side of the main road. He is the base camp dispatch coordinator. Besides giving you the option to manage your comrades, Ross will also list all the available missions, making the process of choosing missions much quicker.
