Brooke Shields, 59, looks youthful in a bright orange pantsuit in NYC while promoting her book about aging

Brooke Shields put on a bright and stylish display in an orange power suit while out in New York City on Monday.

The 59-year-old model — who is promoting her forthcoming book, Brooke Shields Is Not Allowed to Get Old — teamed the pantsuit with a low-cut white top and white sneakers.

The longtime Hollywood fixture added her go-to aviator-style eyeglasses and carried a large red Hermès bag.

She wore an understated necklace and let her glossy, golden brown locks fall down her back and around her face.

Shields was spotted flashing her megawatt smile in the Big Apple's popular tourist destination, Times Square. 

On January 2025 Flatiron Books will publish Shields' $29.99, 256-page third book Brooke Shields Is Not Allowed to Get Old: Thoughts on Aging as a Woman.

Ahead of its release, the Blue Lagoon star revealed the cover on Instagram in early August.

She wrote in a caption to her 2.2 million followers, 'I am beyond ecstatic to share that my brand new book will be out on January 14th! 

'I hope that this book can help start a conversation about how midlife can be the prime of life… full of possibilities and excitement.'

The mother-of-two continued, 'It's honest and it's hilarious and you can pre-order your copy RIGHT NOW!' 

She also thanked ghostwriter Rachel Bertsche and publishers Flatiron and Macmillan. 

Shields rose to fame as a teen model in the 1980s, starring as the face of suggestive Calvin Klein ads.

In her book, she affirms that aged women are in control of their lives and stories.

To bring the book to fruition, she used research and reporting as well as proven age-related bias, in the end giving readers an hopeful perspective on their midlife journey.

'I hope this book can help start a conversation that benefits us collectively,' Shields said in a statement to People.

'Midlife can be the prime of life – it's filled with so many more possibilities than we've been led to believe. I have loved the process of writing this book, and I can't wait to share it with readers.'

Brooke and husband Chris Henchy recently became empty nesters as they sent their second daughter Grier, 18, off to college. She has joined older sister Rowan, 21, at Wake Forest University.
