Brittany Mahomes Gives Birth, Welcomes Baby No. 3 With Patrick Mahomes!
Looks like Kansas City just gained a new fan.
Brittany Mahomes gave birth to her third baby with Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes—a daughter named Golden Raye Mahomes—on Jan. 12. The couple announced the news in a joint Instagram post Jan. 13, sharing an adorable photo of their hands cradling their baby girl's feet.
The pair—who share daughter Sterling, 3, and son Patrick “Bronze”, 2—first shared that the Sports Illustrated Swim model was pregnant in July with a joint Instagram post captioned, "Round three, here we come,” sealed with a white heart. But their game plan dates back more than a decade.
Brittany and Patrick started out as high school sweethearts—even going to prom together back in 2014. Which means the early days of their romance were documented via snaps and Instagram posts of their support for one another during their collegiate careers while she was playing soccer at University of Texas at Tyler and he was leading the squad at Texas Tech.
Following graduation, a stint playing overseas for her Icelandic soccer club and a 2017 NFL draft night that saw the quarterback selected in the first round, the two became partners in life (they wed in Hawaii in March 2022, months after welcoming Sterling) and business, becoming co-owners of the Kansas City Current soccer team.
And now three kids—and three Super Bowl rings—later, they’re among the NFL’s most winning pairs.

Their path to success might appear seamless but there’s been some unexpected plays along the way. For the past few months, Brittany has detailed her journey with postpartum hair loss and a back injury due to pelvic floor complications she dealt with from previous pregnancies.
The former soccer player also shared candid updates on some struggles during her third pregnancy in a July Instagram story writing, “This pregnancy has been the hardest on me, sickness, exhaustion and now skin!”
Despite these hurdles, the mom of three explained on the Whoop podcast's Aug. 28 episode that, “putting my health and my body as a priority,” is no. 1 in her playbook.

The couple’s newest teammate joins older siblings Sterling and Bronze, making the Mahomes a family of five—which rounds out their dream team Patrick revealed during a Chiefs press conference in July. "I’m done,” the 28-year-old expressed. “I’ll say that. I said three and I’m done.”
The pair may have completed their family but they certainly look forward to making more memories with their kids. “We still go out and enjoy our life and let our kids see these great things,” Patrick continued at the July press conference. “Whenever I'm with my family, I want to enjoy those moments.”
And while their children’s future endeavors are a blank space for now, Patrick told E! News at the 2024 Chiefs Ring ceremony that his household is full of "big Taylor Swift fans.” But he’s hoping they’ll love the players and the game.

"Obviously, I want them to play sports," he previously noted to E! News. "Me and Brittany both played sports growing up. I think there's a lot of values that you can learn from playing sports of all kinds."
Brittany has already begun playing the role of a soccer mom with their eldest daughter. Recently, she shared a photo of Sterling’s soccer gear to Instagram and gushed “She's gonna be the brightest one out there let me tell ya.”
