Brittany Hockley reveals she was left bedridden and in tears from agonising pain - and shares how Botox helps her ailment

Brittany Hockley has revealed that she recently endured a frightening health ordeal after being hit with an acute migraine attack that lasted 19 hours.

The former Bachelor star, 36, said she was so concerned about her situation she called a neurologist to seek advice.

The Life Uncut podcaster took to her social media to share the details about her experience and included advice to followers about how best to treat the ailment.

Posting an emotional video to her Instagram stories on Saturday, Brittany shared that Botox helped her with the pain.

Filming from her bed, Brittany said: 'Lots of people have been sending their migraine treatments which I appreciate but I've had these [migraines] my whole life so nothing works for me I just ride it out.

After tearing up at one point she continued: 'Sorry I get emotional when I get migraines, it just hurts so much, if people get them, they know.

'But I get migraine Botox which is the only thing that has ever worked for me. And I get it [the treatment] every three months. And I can tell you the second it wears off for me. Because I get a migraine instantly, as soon as its worn off.'

Brittany, who is currently in Bali arranging her upcoming wedding to Swiss professional footballer Benjamin Siegrist also posted photos in the share and confessed to turn to her beau for support as she battled the ailment.

In one snap the svelte beauty can be seen wearing a skimpy bikini and climbing into a bath. 

She wrote: 'Migraine things. I've been sitting in the bath with water as hot as I can for a long time. 6 tablets. Lots of water. Crying on the phone to Ben overnight.

'A message to my neurologist. I know I'll come back soon when the tablets kick in. But wow that was a rough night.'

In another photo Brittany revealed that the migraine has left her bedridden for nearly an entire day. 

'Okay after 19 hours I'm in bed I'm up,' she said in the post which included a picture of herself looking fresh in a skimpy blue bikini.

Elsewhere, Brittany shared a health update with fans.

Posting another bikini shot of herself looking fit.  

She wrote in her caption: 'I love Bali, it's so beautiful and I can't wait to get married here. 

'But yesterday was a wild day. 

'Venue hunted all day (had one minor mishap at one) did a bunch of food tasting which was awesome, but then spent 19 hours in bed with a migraine. The highs and lows!'

It comes after announced in June that she was officially engaged to Benjamin Siegrist.

The pair went Instagram official with the Swiss goalkeeper in January last year with a sweet post.

The pair met in November 2022 on the celebrity dating app Raya and at the time, the goalkeeper's soccer team, the Glasgow-based Celtic FC, was playing in Australia against Sydney FC.

They often split their time between Australia and Scotland, where Benjamin currently lives.

Last July, Benjamin revealed his plans to move to Australia to be with Brittany as they are currently making their relationship work long-distance.

In October last year, the stunner revealed to Daily Mail Australia she and Benjamin were spending Christmas and New Year's together in Scotland.
