Britney Spears's son Jayden James, 19, rocks leather look as he makes rare appearance at MAC event

Britney Spears' son Jayden James rocked an edgy look while attending a MAC Cosmetics Party earlier this week.

The 19-year-old nepo baby showed up to the event on Wednesday in a black leather jacket worn over a black T-shirt, wide-legged jeans and black loafers.

The budding model rubbed shoulders with the likes of fellow model Gabbriette, who recently wed Taylor Swift's ex-boyfriend, Matt Healy; rapper JT; internet personality Ashtin Earle, who is sister to TikTok star Alix Earle; and Travis Barker's nepo son Landon Barker.

Jayden recently made his official runway debut alongside his brother, Sean, 20, at Paris Fashion Week in June, walking for the Vetements Spring/Summer 2027 menswear show. 

His latest appearance comes after Spears said she had 'failed as a mother' in a rambling post on X last week.

Spears likened herself to 'an angel' and felt the need to confess her shortcomings after one of her sons - she didn't specify which one - told her he didn't believe in God.

'My son told me last week it was all science he didn't personally believe in God … in that moment I believed I had failed as a mother because I know there is a Holy Spirit that sits high in the kingdom of heaven,' adding that she has 'been there' and 'felt it.'

Spears filed for divorce from her sons' father, Kevin Federline, in November 2006, just eight weeks after welcoming their second child.

She pressed on by saying: 'I wanna tell my kids and people in general that I'm sorry for my mistakes in the past.'

The Toxic hitmaker shared an old photo of sons Sean, 20, and Jayden running along a beach as toddlers.

Spears also hit out at her now-estranged parents, Jamie Spears and Lynne Spears, in her lengthy diatribe, claiming she found out five years ago they had 'secretly taken' her sons to the beach without her knowledge or consent.

The singer was famously placed under court-ordered conservatorship in February 2008 after a series of public mental health crises, hospitalizations and intense media scrutiny. She was largely controlled by her father during that time.

But 13 years later, Spears' conservatorship ended in November 2021 following pressure from the #FreeBritney movement and Jamie's suspension as conservator, in addition to the pop star's own court testimony about the abuse she suffered while under her father's control.

'The pictures I saw of my mom and dad in secret on the beach the whole summer with my children every weekend … I wondered why I wasn't a part of their cool secret outings.

'I felt demoralized to live in a country where it was accepted for people like my mom and dad to live secret lives with my children … It was demoralizing,' she repeated, adding: 'I honestly went to my knees and cried for two months.’

Despite her bitter feelings for her parents, Spears appears to be wholly supportive of her sons' burgeoning careers in the modeling world.

While Spears didn't attend their modeling debut show, Jayden shared she was 'so nervous for us' in an interview with Vogue.

'She was just looking out for us and making sure that this was what we wanted to do,' he told the outlet. 'She sent us flowers to our hotel as a good luck thing, and called and texted us so many times. It was good to have that and to carry that with us before we went out there.'

In May, Jayden also attended the Dior Cruise 2027 fashion show, a sign of things to come.

Both Jayden and Sean have started going by their first and middle names, dropping the Federline, but the recent shift seems to be professional and social media-based rather than a formal name change.
