Brie Larson has gone on record several times saying that her favorite video game is The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, although it's quite possible that Tears of the Kingdom has taken its place as number one. In an interview with IGN in 2024, she spoke of Tears of the Kingdom, saying, "I'm really taking my time, I'm not trying to blast through it. I'm putting a lot of time into it because I just love it so much."

Both open-world action-adventure games are incredible experiences where you can easily get lost in the immersive world. Between all the main areas on land, the cavernous void beneath the surface in Tears of the Kingdom, and even the collection of sky islands, they are truly open-world games that you can explore forever.

Besides that, the story arc that is told across the titles is full of such depth and unlike any game that's come before. It explores the lore of The Legend of Zelda in new ways and reintroduces beloved long-time characters in new ways. They often top the lists of best Zelda games ever created, which only confirms that Brie Larson has excellent taste.
