Sharing a message for anyone struggling, he added, 'please know you are loved, and you are not alone.'

Krysten also wrote: 'I can’t begin to imagine what his family and loved ones are going through. My heart is with them, and with RJ.'

In his heartbreaking tribute, he said Mitte's death was 'such a loss' and revealed they had just been planning to meet up for a meal.

'I don't know if that lunch would have changed his future,' he wrote. 'I do know that I loved him, and thoroughly enjoyed being with him throughout the years on the series.'

Bryan also shared a number to a suicide prevention hotline and asked all viewers to ask for help if they were struggling with their mental health.
