Bradley Cooper and Gigi Hadid's father Mohamed have 'a great time' as they hit it off on double date

Bradley Cooper and his girlfriend Gigi Hadid's father seem to be on strong footing.

The 49-year-old actor and filmmaker was spotted with Gigi, 29, as they went on a double date with her father Mohamed Hadid, 76, and his girlfriend Keni Silva, 41, at the upscale Italian restaurant Giorgio Baldi in Santa Monica, California, on Saturday, December 7.

Bradley and Mohamed 'seemed to get along' during the dinner, a source told People on Monday.  

'They had a family dinner with her dad,' the source said. 'They had a great time. They all looked very happy.'

The insider added that 'Bradley and Gigi were in the best mood.'

The Maestro star is reportedly a 'regular' at Giorgio Baldi, so he took the liberty of ordering 'for the table,' though it seems to have gone well.

According to the insider, everyone at the table was chatting throughout the evening, and there was plenty of laughter to be heard.

Bradley and his model girlfriend even 'held hands' during the dessert course toward the end of the evening. 

'Bradley seemed to get along with her dad,' they added.

Mohamed shares Gigi, her young sister Bela Hadid and brother Anward Hadid with his ex-wife Yolanda Hadid. 

Another source told People that Bradley and Gigi had arrived in Los Angeles from the East Coast prior to the weekend, and they had been staying together in the Oscar nominee's home in LA's tony Pacific Palisades neighborhood.

Bradley had notably trimmed down the thick beard he had been wearing recently for the dinner with his girlfriend's father, though he still wore his hair shaggier than usual and tucked it behind his ears.

He wore a striking yellow, white and brown striped rugby shirt that contrasted his dark blue jeans.

He added a rugged touch with black boots and stayed warm in a medium-length black cashmere overcoat.

Gigi was tuned into the holiday spirit with a red, white and brown striped shirt — which had similar stripe designs to Bradley's shirt — and a brown cable knit sweater vest covering it. 

She also rocked an intriguing furry brown mini skirt with a leather waistband that highlighted her long, trim legs, and she completed her ensemble with eye-catching red, white and black loafers.

Earlier in the evening, Gigi was spotted with her family members and friends as they supported her at the grand opening of her Guest in Residence store in Los Angeles. 

Mohamed joined her at the event and posed for photos with her, as did her brother Anwar Hadid, though Bradley appeared to sit the event out so as to let Gigi shine on her own. 

Among her friends showing support was fellow model Hailey Bieber, who made her first event appearance since the birth of her and husband Justin Bieber's son Jack Blues. 

Over the summer, a source told DailyMail.com that the actor is 'determined' to marry the supermodel, who is 20 years his junior.

The pair, who both have one daughter each, have also reportedly discussed having children together, adding to their 'blended functional family' with their exes Zayn Malik and Irina Shayk, whom Cooper dated from 2015 to 2019.

'Bradley has already determined that he is going to ask Gigi to marry him,' an insider told DailyMail.com exclusively. 'This is not even a question. They discussed family and marriage early on in their relationship.

'They have been committed to each other and to their plans for some time and now it is just a matter of when.' 

They continued: 'Bradley only has a couple of projects currently in production but has nothing lined up after that. He wants to take some time away to focus on this and give Gigi the attention and love she deserves.' 

The Maestro star won't have any pushback from those closest to Gigi as he already has 'the blessing of her family, friends and even her daughter.'

Gigi shares Khai, three, with ex-boyfriend Zayn, 31, while Bradley is dad to daughter Lea De Seine, seven, with his ex Irina, 38.

Revealing how Gigi and Zayn operate as co-parents, the source continued: ‘Bradley has met Zayn. They have all moved on and are dedicated parents so there is never any issue at all. They have had contact numerous times when dealing with their kids who they all co-parent amicably.

'In addition, Gigi and Zayn’s daughter gets along so well with Bradley and Irina’s daughter. She almost acts like a big sister to her. They have every intention of becoming a blended functional family.’

A separate source confirmed that Bradley's feeling for Gigi were solidified by her support during his disappointing awards season run for Maestro.

Despite landing several nominations, the actor failed to win any of the major gongs and Gigi was there to comfort him.

'The years that he worked on Maestro, to not win what he thought the movie should have won was disappointing, but it was Gigi that helped him through,' they said. 

'They are each other's person and are there for each other in such a way that spending the rest of their lives together seems to be the next phase for them both.'

Teasing an impending engagement, they added: 'To be engaged and married within the next year is something nobody should be surprised about. They are ready to take the next step.'

The couple have yet to speak publicly about their relationship and have maintained a relatively low profile since first hitting it off late last year.

Bradley and Gigi appeared to confirm their red-hot romance in London in January when they were pictured walking hand-in-hand, just one month after Bradley purchased a home near his girlfriend's family horse farm in Pennsylvania.

The residence is reportedly close to Gigi's mother Yolanda Hadid's $4million farm in New Hope, which has a population of less than 3,000.

In a show of how modern their future blended family might be, Bradley and Gigi came together with the help of his ex-girlfriend Irina. 

'Gigi was introduced to Bradley through Irina and their mutual friends in the industry,' a source told The Messenger.

The insider shared: 'Gigi and Irina have been close over the years while working together, and Gigi and Bradley have hung out before, but it has always been friendly in social settings.

'Gigi and Bradley were in touch recently, and were bonding over their daughters, when Bradley asked her out. He pursued her and she was definitely interested and excited.'

Prior to their romance, Gigi was previously linked to Titanic actor Leonardo DiCaprio, 49.
