BMW reveals US 3 series pricing: The EV carries a hefty premium

Pricing for those future electric variants will be revealed closer to their sale dates. But we can tell you the price of the 2027 i3 50 xDrive: $61,500. For context, the 2026 i4 xDrive40, which is less powerful but also has 60 percent of the range, currently starts at $62,300.

I’m not ready for a plug

There’s a little more choice if you’re looking for a gas-powered Neue Klasse sedan, including the option for a rear-drive model. That’s the 2027 330, which starts at $49,900, a $1,900 premium over the outgoing 2026 model, although there’s an all-wheel drive version, too: the $51,900 2027 330 xDrive. They use the same 2.0 L four-cylinder 48 V mild hybrid engine, which generates 255 hp (190 kW) and 295 lb-ft (400 Nm).

The 2027 M350 xDrive will be the first inline six-cylinder model to be built at the Dingolfing plant in Germany. The vehicle uses a 3.0 L engine that generates 437 hp (326 kW) and 428 lb-ft (580 Nm). Because BMW’s M division worked on this version, it will be able to disconnect the front axle for pure rear-wheel driving dynamics via the “drift moment” function. But the M350 carries the largest premium of the launch models: $65,900.

BMW says that the first cars will arrive in Q1 2027.
