If you want to be the best player on the field in Blue Lock Rivals, then you can’t rely only on your style and flow to outplay your opponents. There are a lot of useful moves you can add to your game that can help you achieve that. With that in mind, we prepared the following guide on all pro moves in Blue Lock Rivals.
Blue Lock Rivals Advanced Dribble Moves
Advanced dribble moves in Blue Lock: Rivals come in clutch when you want to hold onto possession while being chased down or swarmed by other players. However, you can also use them to set up some style skills, create shot chances, and pass the ball.
Header dribbles allow you to keep the ball in the air to either follow up with a shot or use a style skill, like the Nagis mid-air lock. You can bounce the ball this way only up to four times, and while it’s in the air, it can’t be stolen. To dribble the ball with your head, do the following:
- Shoot the ball up at a high angle. It’s really about finding the perfect angle because you don’t want to shoot it straight up or too far forward.
- Jump while looking directly below you. You can look only slightly forward below you to give the ball more travel distance. But, go too far, and you will instead do a volley/header in that direction.
Extended Flick
The extended flick is a pro move with a lot of use-case scenarios in Blue Lock Rivals. You can push the ball forward, pass, and shoot on goal with it. It combines another technique, shooting, to boost the power of your regular flicks (Jump while you have the ball). It’s a bit difficult to time it properly, but to nail it, do this:
- Charge up a shot fully.
- At the same time, jump to flick the ball forward and release the shot. If you mistimed it, you will do a regular flick instead.
Dribble, Kick, Tackle Combo
The dribble-kick-tackle combo is very simple, and you can use it to push the ball forward, dribble past opponents, or quickly reposition. To do this combo, just dribble (Q), shoot (LMB), and then tackle (E). You can also follow up with a shot right after it.
Blue Lock Rivals Advanced Shooting and Passing Moves
Even though they are primarily used for passing and shooting on goal, you can use most of the following Blue Lock Rivals techniques in other situations as well. For example, you can use them to kick the ball a long way ahead of you when opponents are closing in from behind you.
Volley Shot
Volleys function in the same way as the header dribbles do, and they can be used after one of the head bounces as well. To do a volley shot, follow these steps:
- Shoot the ball up, or go for one that is already in the air.
- As it gets closer to the ground, jump and look in the direction where you want to volley the ball.
Flick and Tackle Volley Shot
Tackle volley is similar to a regular volley. However, you use the flick to get the ball off the ground quickly and the tackle to make it stronger. To do a tackle volley, flick the ball forward (Jump) and then tackle right after in the direction you want the ball to go.
Goalkeeper Diving Kick
The diving header can only be done by goalkeepers. Its only use is to start counterattacks or to kick the ball long without using style skills like Sae’s Direct Pass. Diving Header can be tricky to time, but to do it consistently, go to the edge of the box, throw the ball short, and then throw yourself (Q) towards it.
