Known as 'Cyberpunk 2077's' biggest fan, Angharad is a Welsh games writer who thrives in anything related to digital storytelling. If a video game explores the intricacies and horrors of womanhood, she is there.

Thanks to previous work at GAMINGbible, GameByte, The Loadout, Game Luster, Angharad has built a strong understanding of both the digital world and what fans want from it and is eager to share her thoughts and expertise with readers.

Due to tireless work and dedication, developer fromsoftserve has revolutionized Bloodborne by finally bringing its best PC port yet to the masses. First uploaded to Nexus Mods back in 2024, but steadily worked on over the years, the BB PC Remaster for Bloodborne is finally in its best shape yet, and according to its developer, it is almost completely finished.

Adding dynamic shadows, boosts to shadow render distance, improvements to stability, and parallax occlusion mapping, Bloodborne will now not only be available to play on PC, but it looks even better than its original PlayStation 4 version.

Bloodborne Is Finally Getting The PC Remaster It Deserves

Over recent months, fromsoftserve has been sharing updates on this Bloodborne PC port, and now, they have released a one-hour video showcasing most areas of the game. "I released update 0.99.7 for my PC remaster mod for Bloodborne, and to herald its arrival, here is a chunky one-hour video showing most areas in the game," the video description reads. "I talk about what I've done, what I've screwed up, some of what I have left to do, and what I'll be working on next."

The video does exactly what it says on the tin, by allowing players to see some new-and-improved locations such as The Hunter's Dream, various portions of Yharnam, the Fishing Hamlet, and many more. Fans of the 2015 FromSoftware RPG will recognize the iconic settings whilst getting to see them in a whole new light thanks to its unofficial PC remaster.

After all, due to pullback from Sony Entertainment itself, Bloodborne is yet to receive an official PC remaster, and remains exclusive to PlayStation consoles, despite fans begging for its relaunch. However, it is modders such as fromsoftserve that are giving fans what they want. It may not be official, but it is the next best thing.

This Is A "Love Letter" To Bloodborne

From the various updates, and now this brand-new video, there is no denying that this project is a love letter to Bloodborne and what it could be if it ever arrived on PC, or even just received a well-deserved remaster. As such, fans of the ongoing project have shared their support by heading to the YouTube comments to shower praise. "I have been waiting patiently, biding my time when this mod is completed so I can play Bloodborne for the first time. I believe your work has been exceptional, especially not encroaching on the original vision," one user shared. Another agreed, simply adding, "Thank you for doing this. It is amazing."

The BB PC Remaster project may not be completely finished just yet, but it is available to download over on Nexus Mods for free. So, if you want to finally play Bloodborne on PC, this will be the perfect way to make that dream come true.
