Shortly after revealing a new look at World of Warcraft: Midnight's next major update, known as Eclipse, Blizzard Entertainment teased the MMO's next major expansion at BlizzCon 2026. A brief teaser for World of Warcraft: The Last Titan was shown during BlizzCon's opening ceremony, hinting at what's in store for the third and final chapter in WoW's Worldsoul Saga.
At BlizzCon 2026, Holly Longdale, executive producer and vice president for World of Warcraft, promised a "kick-ass year for Warcraft," before introducing Ion Hazzikostas, game designer, who set up what players will experience in World of Warcraft's Eclipse update.
World of Warcraft: Midnight — Eclipse
A new cinematic trailer for Eclipse shows Worldsoul Saga baddie Xal’atath "a toe's length away" from her ultiimate objective, Hazzikostas said. He promised that after moving some narrative chess pieces around the board in World of Warcraft: The War Within and Midnight, "it's all gas, no brakes" from here on out.
After revealing the Eclipse trailer, Hazzikostas teased the MMO's next expansion, The Last Titan, but warned that Blizzard would be revealing very little, so as not to spoil the catastrophic events of Midnight.
World of Warcraft: The Last Titan
Early next year, on the other side of Eclipse, Blizzard promises to share more about The Last Titan. But as a tease, Blizzard is "putting the war back in Warcraft," Longdale said.
The Last Titan will be World of Warcraft 12th expansion. The add-on will be released sometime in 2027.
