Open Standard’s Open USD (OUSD) has officially gone live on Ethereum, Solana, Base, and Tempo, with trading support starting on Coinbase, Kraken and Uniswap, according to a Sept. 30 statement.

The stablecoin initiative, introduced three months ago, is led by Zach Abrams, co-founder of Stripe-owned stablecoin infrastructure company Bridge. It aims to provide shared infrastructure for businesses using stablecoins across payments, settlement and global money movement, with partners able to benefit financially from its growth.

OUSD will not charge minting or redemption fees, while the majority of revenue generated by its reserves will be returned to partners based on the supply and activity they drive, the project says. Partners can also earn equity in Open Standard, making its incentive and ownership structure a key part of the network.

Developers can integrate OUSD through four paths provided by Coinbase, Mastercard, Stripe and Visa, each offering APIs and tools for settlement, payment orchestration, trading, wallets and cards, alongside free 1:1 USD mint and burn functionality, the team says. BVNK, Stripe and the Visa Stablecoin Platform are available now, with Coinbase set to support OUSD from Oct. 1.

OUSD is issued by Bridge, a Stripe company, and backed by reserves held at BlackRock, Lead Bank and BNY, with monthly attestations planned. Open Standard says its partner network has grown to more than 200 financial institutions, fintechs, banks and global businesses.
