Blackpink’s Lisa Reveals Her Post-Concert Treat—and It’s Already Viral on TikTok
Rosé is addressing rising tensions in the BLACKPINK fandom.
After the “APT” singer and her bandmates Lisa, JENNIE and Jisoo concluded their K-pop group's reunion concert tour Jan. 26—following a nearly three-year hiatus she shared where the group stands after renewing their contract in 2023.
“We're more aware and we understand the weight of signing these things as musicians and again about protecting yourself,” Rosé shared, declining to share the specifics of the band’s new contract, during a Jan. 28 Call Her Daddy appearance. “If one of us feels like at that time that's not the right thing then we're all in. We will understand and like any relationship if one person is not ready for something then it should just be respected.”
Indeed, the 28-year-old—who made history as the first Korean solo artist to win Song of the Year for “APT” at the VMAs last year—expressed gratitude that BLACKPINK’s small group size allows them to have an equal voice in calling the shots.
“We will not be able to neglect anyone's decision at any time in their life,” she explained, “and we trust that every decision made is the right decision for each person.”
As for continuing to perform as BLACKPINK after their EP Deadline drops Feb. 27? Rosé emphasized it’s a group decision. “If one of us feels like it’s not the right thing,” she added, “then we’re all in.”
And while members of the band’s fan army BLINK have expressed fear that the group will enter an indefinite hiatus after wrapping up their latest tour—which kicked off in July 2025—Rosé held firm that the group’s last hiatus was “such a healthy decision,” considering they worked nonstop since their 2016 debut.
“We are also growing up right now and we haven’t had enough time to be ourselves or explore that ever—we weren’t really allowed that,” the New Zealand native continued.

“So we allowed ourselves that one year and to see all the things that the members have accomplished, it’s really fun to watch.”
If BLACKPINK’s latest contract does include a full-on hiatus, they will only become the latest beloved group to split up. However, some other iconic groups were unlike BLACKPINK in their emphasis to be on the same page in the decision. One Direction alum Louis Tomlinson recently admitted that he would’ve preferred to remain a five-piece alongside Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Niall Horan and Liam Payne, who died in 2024, before their 2016 break.
“It was awful,” Louis reflected of Zayn’s 2015 departure and the band’s subsequent split a year later during an October 2025 appearance on the Diary of a CEO podcast. “I was straight grieving for it.”
As he put it, “It was something that I really wanted that I couldn’t have anymore.”

British pop group Girls Aloud made history as one of the first bands formed from a reality competition series. The year was 2002, the show was Popstars: The Rivals and the powerhouse vocalists were Sarah Harding, Cheryl (then known as Cheryl Cole), Nadine Coyle, Nicola Roberts and Kimberley Walsh. Girls Aloud recorded 20 consecutive top 10 singles and four number ones, including "Sound of the Underground," during their reign.
