Binance targets full withdrawal restoration for remaining tokens by next week

The exchange has reopened withdrawals for over 62 tokens after a late October security incident and aims to finish the job by the end of next week

Binance says it aims to reopen withdrawals for its remaining listed tokens and restored networks by the end of next week. That would close out a recovery process that began after a security incident in late October 2026.

For users who have watched their balances sit behind a locked door, that is the timeline that matters. Deposits never stopped working. Getting money out has been the slow part.

A network-by-network reopening

Binance has not flipped one big switch. It has been bringing withdrawals back in phases since November 1, one network-asset pair at a time.

In announcements on November 5 and 6, the exchange said it was reopening withdrawals for over 62 tokens. Those tokens span major networks including Ethereum and BNB Smart Chain, with the reopening starting at 04:00 UTC on November 5.

Some assets were made available earlier than that batch. Binance has prioritized tokens based on how much users wanted them in the previous week. That put ETH, USDT and USDC near the front of the line.

The money moving out

The first day of reopened withdrawals gave a clear read on user sentiment. On November 1, Binance recorded net outflows of approximately $3.64 billion across 15 networks.

That figure came from $4.649 billion in withdrawals set against $1.01 billion in deposits.

Binance reportedly replenished approximately 95% of the affected assets, covering losses through its reserves. That included its Secure Asset Fund for Users, better known as SAFU.

Background on the recovery

The restoration follows a significant security incident in late October 2026. Binance’s response has centered on two tracks: refilling affected assets and reopening access in an orderly sequence.

Alongside the phased withdrawals, the exchange has updated its Proof of Reserves and published asset snapshots. Proof of Reserves is a disclosure meant to show that an exchange holds enough assets to cover customer balances.

Binance has also said it will keep issuing regular updates on the recovery and on which assets are available. Keeping deposits open throughout the downtime was a notable choice. It let assets keep flowing in while the exchange worked through the outbound side.

What this means

For Binance customers, the end-of-next-week target is the key date to watch. The approximately 95% replenishment figure suggests most affected assets have been covered, but it also implies a gap remains.

The demand-based ordering also carries a market angle. With ETH, USDT and USDC restored first, liquidity in those assets on Binance returned earlier than in smaller tokens. Traders holding less popular assets have had to wait longer to move them.

The updated Proof of Reserves and asset snapshots will likely draw close scrutiny from users and outside observers alike.
