Billionaire Justin Hemmes seen riding an e-bike with his partner Madeline Holtznagel and their one-year-old son all without helmets in Byron Bay

Justin Hemmes has been caught riding an e-bike with his model partner Madeline Holtznagel and their one-year-old son Jaeger without wearing helmets. 

Despite the well-documented dangers of riding without a helmet, the billionaire Merivale boss, 53, was seen zipping around Byron Bay - where he recently purchased a seafront property for $18 million - without a care in the world on Friday. 

The trio were spotted riding down a beach and around local streets, with Justin in the back while Madeline perched in front, cradling their child in her arms. 

Under NSW law, wearing a helmet on an e-bike in Byron Bay is strictly compulsory, with failure to do so resulting in a hefty on-the-spot fine of $344.

The couple looked to be enjoying their outing as they beamed and laughed together in the winter sun.

Later, the family were seen arriving at a beachfront café for a coffee.

Madeline wore a beige-and-white tracksuit set and sunglasses, while sweeping her hair back into a chignon.

She carried her belongings in a brown leather handbag by Miu Miu and completed her look with black-and-white sandals. 

Justin, meanwhile, dressed for comfort in a black jumper and grey chinos, while little Jaeger rugged up in a navy fleece jacket, beige trousers and a blue beanie. 

Justin and Madeline, together since 2019, have largely kept their family life private, occasionally stepping out at select public events.

Madeline announced the arrival of her first child with the hospitality king on Instagram in June 2025 alongside a gallery of sweet photos.

'Jaeger Justin Hemmes. 1.06.25,' she captioned the post.

Madeline had earlier announced the sex of their baby in an interview with Stellar magazine, and said she was thrilled because she wanted a 'new journey' with Justin. 

'I always thought I was going to have a boy. I knew I was going to be a boy mum,' she said.

'Justin has two beautiful little girls, so having a boy, it's like a whole new journey together.

'[The baby] is going to be his little best mate.'

She said she previously kept details of her pregnancy private, but was ready to share her journey.

'I keep a lot of my life private and I don't share a lot online anyway, so [being pregnant] wasn't really something that I was going to share online,' she said.

'I haven't posted about it and it's been nice to have some quiet time off Instagram.

'But obviously because I am in the public eye and we do get photographed quite a lot, I think now I'm at this point in my pregnancy where it's nice for me to be able to share some nice photos.'

Madeline is the younger sister of fellow Aussie model Simone Holtznagel, who welcomed her first child, a daughter called Gia, in March 2024 with her now-ex-boyfriend Jono Castano.
