TV personality Mike Goldman and his wife Bianca Zouppas are finally rebuilding their Brisbane home, almost a year after a terrifying house fire forced them to flee for their lives.
The Big Brother narrator and the actress-comedian narrowly escaped the devastating blaze when flames engulfed their Brisbane property in the middle of the night last August.
The couple was woken by a smoke alarm and managed to flee the burning home with their now two-year-old son, Jagger, just moments before the fire took hold.
Fire investigators were unable to determine exactly what sparked the blaze.
'They think maybe it started where the electrical box was, so underneath the house, but we don't know,' Bianca told realestate.com.au.
Now, nearly 12 months later, work is well underway to transform the fire-ravaged property into the family's dream home.

The extensive renovation will see smoke-damaged walls ripped out, damaged timber flooring restored and the home's layout completely reimagined.
Among the biggest changes is a complete redesign of the living spaces, with the once-cramped kitchen set to become a cosy sitting room flowing into a new master suite and river-facing deck.
A spacious open-plan kitchen featuring a floating island will instead become the heart of the home.
'I honestly love this house,' Bianca said.
'It is so beautiful. It's going to have so much character when we're finished with it.'
The rebuild marks the latest chapter in what has been an extraordinary year for the couple.
For now, the family is renting a home in Brisbane's Ascot while eagerly counting down the days until they can finally move back into their rebuilt Bulimba home.
Their remarkable comeback comes after one of the most traumatic nights of their lives, with the couple crediting their smoke alarm for giving them the precious seconds they needed to escape the inferno with their young son.

He previously said he and his family survived thanks to a basic home safety device.
'If the [smoke] alarm hadn't gone off, I wouldn't be here today. I'm alive because of it,' he said in an interview with the Courier Mail.
Goldman spoke out about his terrifying experience after accepting a role as an ambassador for Checktember, a national smoke alarm safety campaign.
'That's why I want everyone to take Checktember seriously – check your alarms, and make sure they're interconnected so your whole house is protected,' Goldman said.
Elsewhere in the chat, he shared more details of the night that destroyed his home.
'It was such an intense experience. At the back of your mind, you're like holy s***, I had a fire where I could have died a couple of weeks ago, my family could've been gone.
'I heard the smoke alarm. I thought it was the batteries that needed replacing, and I heard the fire and then saw the smoke and the lights wouldn't turn on and off.'
He shot to fame in the early 2000s when he became the famous narrator of Big Brother Australia.
Since pulling the pin on Big Brother, he has appeared in the Tiger King-inspired Stan Original series Joe vs. Carole and NBC Universal's Young Rock.
Goldman met his wife in an acting class in 2016, with the pair tying the knot in 2019, and they welcomed their first child, Jagger, in May 2024.
