The Big Brother live feeds have finally been turned on, bringing a flood of new information to light about what's been happening since the newest houseguests moved into the house, including the first trio of nominees selected by the HOH. The game got underway quickly after premiere night, when a group of 14 new houseguests moved into the time-travel-themed BB house. While the houseguests were getting to know each other, Big Brother's first twist of the season brought a trio of reality TV stars, reintroducing BB's Angela Murray to the game, and inviting Survivor alums Rick Devens and Dee Valladares.
While the series' first episode and the first installment of Big Brother: Unlocked brought a ton of new information about the houseguests to light, the CBS series didn't reveal the new Head of Household just yet. With Dee, Angela, and Devens all competing for the first taste of power of the season while their fellow houseguests work to help them forge ahead, there was a ton on the line. Though the recent episodes left fans on a cliffhanger, the Big Brother live feeds finally switching on revealed the results of the HOH competition, along with the first set of nominees.
The first big twist of the season, with reality TV stars coming into play, made for an interesting start to the game, but Big Brother will still be employing some of the past seasons' twists in the game moving forward. With the return of three nominees being named by the HOH and the blockbuster competition coming back, there will once again be an interesting level of surprise associated with the weekly live episodes, as the houseguests won't be able to plan intensely from week to week. As alliances begin building and rivalries start to form, Big Brother is so back.
HOH Dee Valladres Nominated Mallory, Taylor, & Yash For Eviction
Big Brother 28's first nominees of the season appear to be Mallory, Taylor, and Yash according to the live feeds, and a ton of drama seems to be following all three of them. While Dee, who won the Head of Household competition against Angela and Devens, had to make the difficult decision of who to put up on the block, it's clear that she went into the choice with a strategy behind her thinking. Since each of the houseguests had the opportunity to compete for safety ahead of the HOH, Dee allegedly put up one remaining houseguest from each group.
The live feeds opened up to Yash discussing the first Power of Veto competition, making it clear that he had been nominated despite it being a surprise to the rest of the house. Angela later revealed that Yash's reaction to being nominated was the least dramatic of the three houseguests, sharing that he was excited at the chance to play for Veto and understood that it's all in the spirit of the game. Mallory and Taylor, however, appeared to have a tougher time with nominations. While Taylor was confused, she seemed to understand that a choice needed to be made.
Mallory, who's been on the live feeds fairly consistently since they turned on, has had the toughest time with her nomination thus far. Crying on and off throughout the first hour of feeds, Mallory seems to feel that her relationship with Melody and Lyric made her more of a target for Dee to nominate. With a strong emotional reaction, Mallory may be an easy target for the house to move forward with eliminating this week. There's still a lot of Big Brother left to play before the first eviction, but the first round of nominations is a huge step forward.
