Beyonce goes topless as she channels Prince and Apollonia in latest sizzling Halloween costume

Beyonce went topless as she paid homage to iconic duo Prince and Apollonia in her latest Halloween costume.

The superstar, 43, took to Instagram on Friday with her second look from spooky season, after previously dressing up as Betty Davis.

She channeled both the late Purple Rain hitmaker and his protégée turned lover, Mexican model Patricia 'Apollonia' Kotero. 

While roleplaying Apollonia, the Single Ladies hitmaker sizzled in a plunging black lace bustier under an open tuxedo jacket, before taking it off and posing in nothing but metallic purple gloves. 

Meanwhile her version of Prince consisted of a purple coat with a white frilly shirt, black lace underwear, and a matching purple guitar. 

'PURPLE NASTY,' she captioned the post, along with a purple heart emoji. 

Another snap saw the star close-up, as she showed off her sensational figure in the low-cut bodysuit.

The mom-of-three paired the outfit with thigh-high purple boots. 

She wore raven curly tresses that cascaded down her shoulders, and accessorized her Apollonia look with a chunky diamond necklace.

She followed it up with her as Prince sitting on a vintage red car and holding up her guitar, while sporting a short curly-hair look. 

Her fans went wild for the outfits, with one writing: 'ROCK ERA LOADING MAMAMAMMAAAAAA.'

Khloe Kardashian left a number of purple heart emojis on the post. 

'Beyonrock,' another fan added.

Apollonia had the lead female role in Prince's 1984 film Purple Rain, where she starred as Apollonia 6, which also became the name of her girl band.

Appollonia and Prince parted ways in 1985 but she managed to stay in the spotlight with a role on the soap Falcon Crest and in 1988 the release of an eponymous album.

It is not clear when Apollonia's relationship with Prince began or ended as he was dating another one of the stars of Purple Rain during the making of the film, Susan Moonsie.

Prince and Beyonce famously joined forces onstage at the 2004 Grammy Awards, performing a medley that included his iconic 1984 single Purple Rain. 

Their duet also included her fan favorite number Crazy In Love, which saw him accompany her on the electric guitar.

Afterwards, Prince gave an interview in which he shared his appraisal of Beyonce's musical abilities when they worked together.

'I was really curious as to how much she knew musically, and I was really pleased to find out that she knew a lot about scales - Mixolydian scales and Egyptian styles and different things like that,' he said.

'And I was just trying to show her some chords on the piano and help her to respect the fact that if she learns piano à la Aretha Franklin and Ray Charles and things like that, the sky's the limit as to what she could do, 'cause she's so very talented.'

Prince died of an accidental overdose in 2016 at the age of just 57.

Earlier this year Beyonce posted a heartwarming Instagram montage of herself wearing a t-shirt promoting Prince on what would have been his 66th birthday. 

Beyonce's Prince costume comes after she transformed into a busty Betty Davis for Halloween on Thursday.

The songstress went braless in a plunging zebra print leotard as she recreated the iconic singer's look on 2005 compilation album, This Is It.

The skimpy ensemble featured furry statement shoulders and showed off the singer's incredible toned legs and curves.

She completed the ensemble with white cowboy boots and a dramatic pop of red lipstick.

The legendary funk singer and ex-wife of jazz great Miles Davis, died at the age of 77 in February 2022.
