Beyonce fans have been sent into a frenzy and left convinced the singer will announce her new rock album in a tribute to Prince at next week's Met Gala, which she is co-charing. 

The songstress, 44, has long been rumoured to be releasing a rock-inspired album as Act III of her trilogy, following Renaissance (dance) and Cowboy Carter (country). 

Taking to her Instagram on Monday with teasing snaps she modelled up a storm in a dramatic purple gown, which many believed was a nod to Prince's Purple Rain.

There was also a cryptic close ups of her heels as well as eight pieces of sushi in a bowl, leading to nothing but theories in the comments. 

They said: 'Hold up! Act iii coming': 'Met Gala tease': 'Purple Rain!': 'The rain on the steps. its giving Prince Purple Rain': 'Purple is the colour of rock royalty and she knows it!': 'I can't believe we already here, I'm so ready for Rockyonce my god'.

The 2026 Met Gala will take place on Monday, May 4, celebrating the Costume Institute exhibition 'Costume Art' with the dress code 'Fashion is Art'.

Co-chaired by Beyoncé, Nicole Kidman, Venus Williams, and Anna Wintour, the 2026 event highlights the 'dressed body' and will debut 25 new diverse mannequins. 

Ticket prices are set at $100,000 for individuals, with tables starting at $350,000. 

It comes following news the hitmaker and husband Jay Z were reportedly eyeing up a lavish 16th century chateau in the French wine region of Bordeaux.

The power couple, who are believed to be worth a whopping $2.8B, were initially thought to be relocating to the leafy Cotswolds, before plans to build a huge UK estate were scuppered due to their £7.5million plot being at risk of flooding.

Beyonce and Jay Z, 56, have now set their sights on a chateau which boasts 10 bedrooms and eight bathrooms, more than enough room for them, daughter Blue Ivy, 14, and eight-year-old twins Rumi and Sir Carter. 

The couple are fans of the region after choosing it as the location to celebrate Jay-Z's 54th birthday in December 2023.

A source said: 'Everyone is talking about Beyonce and Jay-Z moving to the area.

The source went on to tell The Sun that a job description had been placed on a local notice board looking for an experienced experienced property manager working with VIP clients, with the need for 'absolute discretion'.
