Best Prime Day Portable Power Stations Deals: EcoFlow, Jackery, Anker and More

3 weeks ago 8

With Hurricane Milton expected to make landfall this evening or Thursday morning, you've hopefully done all your prep or evacuated if you're in one of the mandatory evacuation zones. For those that can stay put, you're likely to face high winds, flooding and power outages, making it wise to pick up a portable power station. These portable batteries come with multiple output ports that can keep your electronics charged during emergencies or taken on the go for camping. Many also offer attachable solar panels so you can charge when the grid is down.

Portable power stations are useful, but they can get very expensive, with most power stations costing hundreds (and sometimes thousands) of dollars. If you've been on the fence about getting one, here are some Prime Days deals that might help your wallet while also keeping your devices charged during storms. Prime Day is technically only during Oct 8 and 9, but we expect deals to continue for most of this week.

We'll be updating this article regularly throughout October Prime Day, so remember to check back for all the latest deals. These are the best Prime Day deals we've seen on portable power stations.

How we choose the best Prime Day power station deals

Many of us at CNET have covered shopping events for years, including Black Friday, Prime Day, Memorial Day and countless other sales. We've learned how to spot the best deals among a sea of superficial offers and scams, and we only show the best offers from trusted retailers. We look for real discounts, quality reviews and remaining sale time when choosing power station deals to show you.

  • Real discounts mean genuine savings. We check pricing history for products listed as on sale so we know when it's a case of an inflated list price rather than an actual discount.
  • Quality reviews and testing are important for any product. A discount isn't worthwhile if it results in a subpar product experience, no matter how much you saved. We've examined more than 100 portable power stations at the CNET Testing Lab.
  • The remaining sale time is important too. Some deals are only around for a short time or may be limited in supply. If that's the case, we'll let you know upfront so you don't come back to the deal later only to be disappointed.

When is Amazon's October Prime Day 2024?

Amazon's second event in October is Prime Big Deal Days, which takes place Oct. 8 and 9. During the event, customers will see many incredible savings, particularly on Amazon devices and with other popular tech such as TVs, gaming consoles, home security and other items. For many shoppers, this event marks the beginning of the holiday shopping season.

What portable power station is most reliable?

CNET has tested more than 100 portable power stations and our favorite is the Jackery Explorer 2000 Plus. We put each power station through a variety of tests to determine its actual charge time and usable capacity. Generally, you won't be able to use the full stated capacity of a power station, but the best ones give you a capacity that is close.
