Nioh 3 is just around the corner, but its character creator is already live, so we can spend untold hours crafting our perfect protagonist ahead of the actual launch.
We’ve compiled several of the most stunning characters made by the community so far, which, through the game’s code system, can easily be shared and imported into any save game.
So, here’s what we found.
The Best Nioh 3 Character Creation Codes
Dark, mysterious, otherworldly
- PC Code: N3S-DS9niK+XMxtUZ
- PS5 Code: N3P-+dyGATYcmR[UR
This character, made by user HealSlut_Soraka, is a woman with otherworldly eyes, crimson and almost serpentine. The tattoos hint at a potential Yakuza background, a rough upbringing, and a passion for violence, as well as deadly skill with the sword, though her solemn expression does suggest a kinder, more vulnerable side. It’s incredible how much character-building can be done by sculpting the looks alone.
William from Nioh 1
- PC Code: N3S-&f+=/x8LfSeGH
Nioh 1‘s protagonist was none other than William Adams, a real historical figure from old Britain who explored the world and somehow wound up in Japan. He became a Samurai, was the first British person in Japan, and ended up being a highly influential person in the country during the 1600s. Nioh bases a lot of its stories on actual events and utilizes many historical figures to tell its tales, so this recreation for Nioh 3 fits perfectly in context.
Venom Snake
- PC Code: N3S-DgvsYyGJ4kpPz
Of course, whenever a game has a character creator, people will flock to it to recreate real people or characters from other games. Thus, user Dusty_Tibbins made Venom Snake, the main antagonist of Metal Gear and the protagonist of the now memed-to-death Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain (when you can’t even say… my name).
Ciri
- PC Code: N3S-zg2dZog2cztwV
As with Venom Snake, it was almost guaranteed someone would try to recreate Witcher characters, and given Ciri’s popularity in the wake of the upcoming The Witcher 4, this is unsurprising. The Ciri made by user nightE89 was labeled an “attempt,” though I can guarantee that it’d be quite difficult to do much better than what they achieved here.
I’m the Joker, baby!
- PS5 Code: N3P-pHEG?BjeAh[EM
Fun and even ridiculous characters have become a staple of the Soulslike genre at this point. Just imagine what sort of ludicrous stuff people used to make in Dark Souls 1 and even the later games, because fidgeting with the sliders would produce wilder and wilder results the more you flicked them back and forth. The tradition continues in Nioh 3, with this Joker recreation being just as funny as you’d imagine.
