Best iPhone deals

Below you'll find the best deals on the iPhone 16, iPhone 15, iPhone 14, iPhone 13 and iPhone SE 2022, grouped by generation.

iPhone 16 deals

The iPhone 16 is here -- Apple released its latest phone on Sept. 20 and there are a number of ways to get your hands on one for less right now.

You can buy a phone in the iPhone 16 series from the Apple Store, and if you have an older phone to trade in, you could get up to $650 in trade-in credit.

T-Mobile is offering a few different trade-in discounts depending on which service plan you have. If you're on a Go5G Plus or Next plan, you can save up to $1,000 with an eligible trade-in, which scores you the basic iPhone 16, 16 Plus or 16 Pro for free. If you don't feel like upgrading to a Go5G Plus or Next plan, folks on other qualifying plans can still save up to $1,000 with a trade-in and a new line of service.

T-Mobile is also offering up to $800 off with a new line and a trade-in if you're on a One, Magenta, or Magenta Max plan, or one of its special discounted service plans for people over 55, military members and first responders. Those on other qualifying Go5G plans will get $300 off with a trade-in, and any other plans will get $200 in trade-in credit.

T-Mobile also has a special offer for new customers looking to grab more than one phone. Switch your existing number over to T-Mobile and activate two new lines on a qualifying service plan, and you'll save $730 on your order of two iPhones.

AT&T is offering great deals on the iPhone 16 lineup. If you're looking to trade in your old phone, you can save up to $1,000, which scores you the iPhone 16 and 16 Pro for free, and drops the cost of the iPhone 16 Pro Max down to less than $6 per month. You'll get the full discount for any devices valued at $230 or more, while folks with devices valued at $130 or more will still get $830 off and, even older devices valued at just $35 will still net up to $350 in credit.

If you're looking to get your hands on the iPhone 16 Plus, you can save $534 when you purchase it on an installment plan, which drops the cost down to $11 per month with no trade-in required. You can also get a 10th-gen iPad and/or an Apple Watch SE for just $1 per month when bundled with an iPhone 16 purchase, though you'll need to activate a new line of service for these devices as well.

Verizon customers on an Unlimited Ultimate plan (or Unlimited Plus for the basic iPhone 16) can get the iPhone 16, 16 Plus or 16 Pro for free when adding a new line of service. This offer also saves you $1,020 on the iPhone 16 Pro Max, which drops the cost down to just $5 per month.

If you don't want to upgrade to Verizon's priciest service plans, customers on any Verizon myPlan can still save up to $1,000 with a new line and an eligible trade-in, which still scores you the basic 16, 16 Plus or 16 Pro for free, and the 16 Pro Max for just under $6 per month. Discounts are applied as bill credits over a 36-month period..

Best Buy isn't carrying any unlocked iPhone 16 models right now, but you can score some serious savings if you sign up with a carrier. Purchase your new iPhone through Best Buy with qualified activation and trade-in through AT&T or Verizon, and you can save up to $1,000 on the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max and up to $830 on the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus.

Similar to Best Buy, you can save at Walmart on carrier options through AT&T. New and existing AT&T customers can trade in an eligible device worth $130 and get up to $830 off; if you have a device to trade in worth $180, you can save up to $1,100 off the iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max. Keep in mind that you'll have to activate a new line or upgrade your line to an eligible plan if you're not already on one.

Similar to Best Buy, Target is offering up to $1,000 off the Apple iPhone 16 Pro or Pro Max and up to $830 off the iPhone 16 with a qualifying trade-in and either activation of a new line or upgrading a line through AT&T. If you want the iPhone 16 Plus, you can get it for just $11 per month when you purchase the phone on an installment plan, with no trade-in required. Just note that you'll have to visit your local Target branch in person to take advantage of these offers.

iPhone 15 deals

The iPhone 15 series hit shelves back in September 2023. And while the phones in the lineup may be a generation old, they still have plenty to offer -- with the basic model even retaining a spot on our list of the best phones of 2024. Plus, it's pretty easy to get your hands on one of these previous-gen models for less right now, which makes them a pretty great value for Apple users on a budget.

Though there are no direct discounts on any of the iPhone 15 series devices, Apple does have a trade-in program that can save you hundreds on a new iPhone 15. Apple says you can save up to $650, but that's only if you're trading in another iPhone 15. For the iPhone 14 series and older, the most you'll save is $500. The iPhone Upgrade Program or Apple Card* financing (and cash back) are also options, and you can save even more when you opt to sign up with a carrier.

AT&T is offering discounts in the form of monthly bill credits when you buy a new iPhone 15 on an installment plan. People who have or switch to an eligible unlimited plan can get the basic iPhone 15 for just $6 per month, which is $514 off the usual price. You can also get the iPhone 15 Pro for just $16 per month and the Pro Max for just $21 per month with this deal, saving you $324 and $344, respectively. At the moment, there aren't any discounts available on the iPhone 15 Plus.

You can also save 20% on a pair of Beats Fit Pro earbuds when bundled with this purchase.

The iPhone 15 Pro is currently sold out at Verizon, but you can score big savings on all other models right now. Adding a new line on an Unlimited Welcome, Plus or Ultimate plan scores you the basic iPhone 15 or the 15 Plus for free. You can also save up to $1,100 on the iPhone 15 Pro Max with a new line on an Unlimited Plus or Ultimate plan, which drops the 512GB model down to under $6 per month (the 256GB configuration is currently sold out).

These discounts are applied in the form of monthly bill credits over a 36-month period.

T-Mobile is offering some serious iPhone 15 savings to people with an old phone to trade in, though the discount varies depending on what service plan you have. You can save up to $1,000 with a Go5G Next or Go5G Plus plan, which scores you the basic iPhone 15, the 15 Plus and the 15 Pro for free. Folks on a Go5G plan can still save up to $300, and you can save up to $200 with a trade-in on another qualifying plan.

If you're looking to add a new line on a qualifying service plan, you can save up to $730 with an eligible trade-in. T-Mobile also offers a $630 discount when you switch your existing number over from another carrier. There are exclusive discounts and offers for seniors, military members and first responders, too.

Customers looking to pick up an iPhone 15 or 15 Plus can save $100 when they opt for same-day activation at Best Buy and sign a contract with either AT&T or Verizon. There aren't any savings available on the iPhone 15 Pro or Pro Max.

Best Buy also has its own trade-in program, where you can exchange your old phone for additional savings. And all iPhone 15 purchases come with some freebies, including three free months of Apple TV Plus, Apple Fitness Plus and Apple Music, as well as four free months of Apple Arcade -- as long as you're a new or returning subscriber.

If you only want the basic iPhone 15, you can get your hands on one for just $2 per month at Target. This deal requires you to have (or activate) a line on an eligible AT&T unlimited plan and purchase the phone on a 36-month installment plan. With this deal, you're getting the phone for around $72 total, which saves you $658 compared with the usual price. Just note that you'll have to visit your local Target branch in person to take advantage of this offer.

Right now Spectrum is offering $100 off the iPhone 15 Pro or 15 Pro Max, and you'll get an extra $100 in credit for any eligible trade-in. The phone you trade in needs to have a value greater than $1, so even old and damaged devices will still net you at least $100.

iPhone 14 deals

The iPhone 14 series is still a popular line of phones and is comprised of the iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 14 Pro and top-spec iPhone 14 Pro Max. Apple discontinued the 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max in September 2023, so finding these phones in new condition is getting tougher, but they're still a solid value when you can find them in stock and on sale.

James Martin/CNET

The iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus are available to buy directly from Apple with a low $599 starting price. Plus, Apple has its own trade-in program, where you can score some discounts in exchange for your old phone. Technically, you can get up to $650 in credit, but that would only be if you're downgrading from a more recent model (which is pretty unlikely). However, the iPhone 13 series can still net you up to $400, which is a pretty significant discount.

You'll also get 3% back if you use your Apple Card* for the purchase. And if you're interested in a carrier model, T-Mobile customers can get up to $999 in trade-in credit.

T-Mobile only has the basic iPhone 14 still in stock, and it's offering a few different ways to get your hands on one for free right now. If you're looking to switch carriers, you'll get the phone for free when you bring your existing number and add a new line of service. You can also get one for free when trading in and adding a new line on a 55 , Military, or First Responder Go5G, One, Magenta, or Magenta Max plan. Folks already on a Go5G will get $300 off with just a trade-in, or $200 off if they're on any other eligible service plan.

AT&T isn't offering any direct discounts on the iPhone 14 right now, but you can save with an eligible trade-in. You'll also save 20% on a pair of Beats Fit Pro earbuds when bundled with the purchase.

Add a new line on an Unlimited Welcome, Plus or Ultimate plan and you can get the iPhone 14 or 14 Plus for free at Verizon. The discount comes in bill credits over 36 months, and there's no trade-in required. Note that Verizon is only carrying certified refurbished models of the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max, though you can still pick them up at a discount with a new line.

Exchange your old phone at Spectrum and you'll get an extra $100 on top of the trade-in value. Spectrum accepts any devices valued at just $1 or more, so even old and damaged phones will still net you some savings. Plus, if the final trade-in value exceeds the cost of the new device, the difference will be refunded to your Spectrum Mobile Account.

Best Buy has knocked $50 off the starting price of the iPhone 14 Plus, which is one of the few straightforward discounts available at the moment. Plus, you'll get an extra $100 off when you opt for same-day activation and sign up with either AT&T or Verizon. The tech retailer also has its own trade-in program, where you can score even more savings in exchange for your old phone.

Best Buy isn't currently carrying any new 14 Pro or Pro Max phones, though it does have some refurbished models.

iPhone 13 deals

The iPhone 13 may not be Apple's flagship series anymore, but these are still solid phones worth considering -- especially for folks on a tight budget. Like the iPhone 14 series, these 2021 models are getting pretty tough to find in new condition, but we've rounded up the best places to get your hands on one.

AT&T is still carrying the iPhone 13, though there aren't any discounts or special offers on the phone itself. However, you can trade in your old phone to help bring down the price a bit, and you can save 20% on a pair of Beats Fit Pro earbuds when bundled with the purchase.

As with other iPhone models, Best Buy will knock $100 off the starting price of the iPhone 13 when you choose same-day activation with AT&T or Verizon. That means you can get your hands on one for as little as $450 right now, which is a pretty serious bargain -- though only select colors are still in stock. You can also take advantage of Best Buy's trade-in program for even more savings. And you'll get three free months of Apple Music, Apple TV Plus and Apple Fitness, plus four free months of Apple Arcade.

iPhone SE (2022) deals

The budget option in Apple's lineup, the iPhone SE was updated in 2022 but was still targeted squarely at people who wanted a no-frills iPhone experience. Starting at $429, it's an affordable device for anyone who wants to stick with a familiar experience.

Kevin Heinz/CNET

Best Buy has the same offer available on the iPhone SE, which knocks $100 off the starting price with same-day activation through AT&T or Verizon. You can save even more with an eligible trade-in, and this deal comes with three free months of Apple Music, Apple TV Plus and Apple Fitness, plus four free months of Apple Arcade.

If you prefer an unlocked model, you can get your iPhone SE straight from the source. Apple has its own trade-in program that could save you up to $650, but that's only if you're looking to downgrade (which is pretty unlikely). The iPhone 12 series can net you up to $300 off, which is the best discount you're likely to get. Most other phones will knock $100 to $200 off the starting price, which is still a pretty great bargain considering how affordable this model is.

Add a new line on an Unlimited Welcome, Plus or Ultimate plan and Verizon will give you the iPhone SE for free. Just note that the discount will be applied in the form of monthly credits over 36 months, even if you buy the phone outright.

Anyone on a 55, Military or First Responder Go5G Plus or Go5G Next plan at T-Mobile can get the iPhone SE for free with an eligible trade-in. Folks on another Go5G plan will still get $300 off, and people on other qualifying plans will get $200 off. If you don't have an old phone to trade in, you can still save 50% ($215) when adding a new line.

As with the other iPhone models, Spectrum will give you an extra $100 in trade-in credit toward the iPhone SE.

Mint Mobile isn't offering any savings on the iPhone SE, but you will get a year of Unlimited phone service for just $15 per month with the purchase. That’s a 50% discount on the regular plan cost. Plus, you can score some extra savings with an eligible trade-in.
