Best AMR Mod 4 loadout, class build in Black Ops 6

1 day ago 2

The best AMR Mod 4 loadout in Black Ops 6 is something you should absolutely be using, now that the gun has been added as part of the Archie’s Festival Frenzy event. The AMR Mod 4 is essentially a Barrett 50. cal from other Call of Duty games, which means it’s incredibly hard-hitting, but also has a lengthy reload time and isn’t particularly mobile.

Still, that doesn’t prevent it from becoming a quickscoping machine; despite how unwieldy it can be, the fact it’s a one-hit kill almost no matter where you shoot an enemy is too big of a benefit to ignore. As such, when using the AMR Mod 4, aim to improve its mobility while retaining its damage.

Here are all the details on how to unlock the AMR Mod 4 in Black Ops 6, the best loadout for the AMR Mod 4, and the best class to use with it.

How to unlock the AMR Mod 4 in Black Ops 6

To unlock the AMR Mod 4 in Black Ops 6, you must complete Archie’s Festival Frenzy. This is the event that runs for two weeks during which time you can collect Jolly Archies by getting kills in both multiplayer and zombies, and by opening supply caches in Warzone. Once you’ve obtained a total of 320 Jolly Archies, you’ll have unlocked all the rewards, of which the AMR Mod 4 is the very final one.

Here’s the best AMR Mod 4 loadout in Black Ops 6:

  • Optic: Accu-Spot Ultra Holo
  • Magazine: Fast Mag I
  • Rear Grip: Quickdraw Grip
  • Comb: Heavy Riser
  • Laser: Strelok Laser

You’re reading that right, folks: Your best off ditching the sniper optic altogether with this AMR Mod 4 build and sticking on a holographic sight instead. Because you want to be as mobile as possible, try turning the AMR Mod 4 into what is essentially a long-range shotgun. As a result, the actual optical sight you choose here is largely down to preference, but we’ve found the Accu-Spot Ultra Holo is one of the least obtrusive sights that still provides enough range for those mid-range kills.

It goes without saying that you’ll want a Fast Mag equipped for this playstyle, and while you could stick on the Fast Mag II, we found Fast Mag I to be better because it has five bullets compared to four in the upgraded version. That’s just short of being entirely reliable if you miss a couple of shots and there are multiple enemies to shoot at.

The Quickdraw Grip is a no-brainer since it improves your aim down sight speed considerably, and the Heavy Riser comb attachment will help keep you on target whenever enemies are shooting back at you, which will be much more often compared to if you were using this as a standard sniper rifle. Finally, the Strelok Laser ensures you’re accurate when aiming down the sights.

Here’s the best class to use alongside the AMR Mod 4 in Black Ops 6:

  • Pistol: Grekhova
  • Melee: Knife
  • Tactical: Stim Shot
  • Lethal: Combat Axe
  • Field Upgrade: Trophy System
  • Perk 1: Ghost
  • Perk 2: Forward Intel
  • Perk 3: Cold-Blooded
  • Wildcard: Perk Greed
  • Perk 4: Flak Jacket

The Grekhova is the go-to sidearm for pretty much any loadout in this game because it’s so reliable and, in this instance, gives you that automatic firepower you’re missing out on when using the AMR Mod 4. Switch to it whenever you need to reload in the middle of the fight. The Knife is the de facto melee choice since it’s the best and the only one that can one-hit kill.

Since you’ll be very active and mobile with this class, the Stim Shot is the best choice for the tactical slot, while the Combat Axe is an absolute godsend if, again, you need to reload mid-fight and enemies are shooting back at you. Quickly chuck one of them for another one-hit kill. You won’t be relying on your field upgrade too much with this playstyle but the Trophy System is always helpful for those moments when you’re either playing the objective or need to take a breather and defend a location.

For the perks, we’ve opted for a blue trio in order to receive the Recon specialty. This is the one that allows you to see enemies through walls briefly after respawning and despite receiving a nerf at the start of this season, it’s still incredibly handy. Ghost is the best choice for the first perk slot because it means you’re undetectable by enemy UAVs and scout pulses when moving, while Forward Intel gives you more information about your enemies on the minimap. Meanwhile, Cold-Blooded makes it so enemy AI killstreaks can’t target you, and you’re not highlighted by player-controlled ones.

Go for Perk Greed and Flak Jacket as the wildcard and additional perk respectively, but there is some flexibility here. If you want to make your AMR Mod 4 even more consistent you could stick Gunfighter on for some additional attachments, or you can use Overkill to enable a second primary weapon instead of the Grekhova. The choice is yours, but we found the most success with the additional perk.
