Benny Blanco's Fear of Flying Has Him Taking a Ship to London for Selena Gomez's Birthday
Benny Blanco would run through the jungle, run with the wolves, to get to Selena Gomez.
But a plane? That’s a bridge too far.
Indeed, Blanco has a fear of flying, but he didn’t let that stop him from meeting the “Wolves” singer—whom he married in September 2025—in London for her birthday on July 22. He just got a bit more creative with his mode of transportation.
“POV: ur traveling across the atlantic in the titanic to see ur wife,” he wrote in a July 16 TikTok showing his nautical journey, “bc ur scared of flying.”
Proving his passion for her burns hotter than the bluest flame, he added in his caption, “the things we do for love.”
Although they briefly reunited for date night at Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding on July 3, Gomez and Blanco have been navigating a long distance relationship while the Rare Beauty founder films the upcoming sixth season of Only Murders In the Building in London.
And the couple hasn’t hid their longing for each other during this time, with the Wizards of Waverly Place alum even posting a racy pic of the music producer kissing her chest.
“Distance means so little when someone means so much,” the 33-year-old wrote in the caption of her June 10 Instagram post. “@itsbennyblanco mish you bb.”
And the feeling goes both ways, with Blanco writing back, "I fall more and more in love with you everyday.”

While the 38-year-old opted for a boat ride for this trip, he has been working on conquering his aerophobia this year, even embarking on his first flight in over eight years.
“The last time I went to Europe, I took a boat with Ed Sheeran and we made the Divide album,” he explained in a TikTok on April 8. “I’m not sure you realize how monumental this is for me.”

Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco began dating in July 2023, around Selena's birthday, Benny said on the Howard Stern Show in May 2024.
But they only began to spark romance rumors in late 2023. That December, Selena confirmed the speculation, commenting on a fan page's Instagram post, regarding Benny, "He is my absolute everything in my heart."
She continued, "Why has he been the best thing that's ever happened to me. He's still better than anyone I've ever been with."
