EXCLUSIVE: Ben Feldman has been upped to series regular for the upcoming sixth season of the CBS comedy series Ghosts.
Feldman, who has guest starred on the past two seasons, plays Kyle. Like Rose McIver’s Sam, he has the power to see the ghosts and is often tasked with being the “ghost babysitter” when she is away from Woodstone Mansion. In the Season 5 finale, he and Jay (Utkarsh Ambudkar) had embarked with Pete (Richie Moriarty) on an unexpected trip to London to prove Nancy’s (Betsy Sodaro) lineage. Pete vanishes moments before they return to the property, leaving his fate up in the air.
“We’re so excited to have Ben on Ghosts this season,” showrunners Joe Port and Joe Wiseman said in a statement to Deadline. “He’s a truly gifted actor that is equally adept at comedy and emotion, and he’s an incredible addition to an already stacked cast.”
Ghosts will return with a mid-season premiere expected in 2027, though the series will get two holiday specials for Halloween and Christmas to tide fans over. Also, Port and Wiseman have revealed to Deadline that those episodes will deal with the Season 5 cliffhanger.
Ghosts is executive produced by Joe Port and Joe Wiseman, Matthew Baynton, Jim Howick, Simon Farnaby, Laurence Rickard, Ben Willbond and Martha Howe-Douglas, Alison Carpenter, Debra Hayward, Alison Owen (Monumental Television), Angie Stephenson (BBC Studios), Josh Malmuth, John Blickstead and Trey Kollmer. The series is produced by CBS Studios in association with Lionsgate Television and BBC Studios.
Feldman is best known for his run on the NBC comedy Superstore, as well as his Emmy nominated role in Mad Men. He can also be seen in HBO’s Silicon Valley and the Stan Australia/Lionsgate series Population 11.
He is represented by Impression Entertainment, IAG and Hansen, Jacobson, Teller, Hoberman, Newman, Warren, Richman, Rush, Kaller, Gellman, Meigs & Fox, L.L.P.
