Bella Hadid Unveils Très Chic Bob While Out in France
Bella Hadid has unlocked a new level of self-love.
The model detailed how her brief role in Ryan Murphy’s FX series The Beauty encouraged her to confront her layered relationship with beauty standards.
“The entire set taught me how to release control and the obsession with perfectionism,” Bella told Vogue in an interview published March 12. “My comfort zone is when I’m in control, but I knew I had to get out of my comfort zone, let loose, and let go.”
Indeed, the 29-year-old cut that restraint to deliver her performance in the show’s first episode. Her character Ruby took the titular cosmetic drug before she was set to walk in a fashion show. However, the injection made her skin break out in painful blisters and, after a bloody fight scene, she blew up from its side effects.
Considering her character—as well as costars Evan Peters, Ashton Kutcher, Jeremy Pope and more—went through a brutal transformation in the series, Bella felt relieved she didn’t have to sell a certain image.
“Being beautiful or perfect was the lowest thing on this list at the end of a day on set, and that was a really big learning lesson for me,” she explained. “I will have that for the rest of my life.”
In fact, the Ôrebella founder wants to bring this essence to another dream role.
“If they do a live-action Spirit movie, sign me up,” she noted. “I’m ready to go.”

♬ original sound - FX’s The BeautyAfter all, Bella has been living out her equestrian dreams since she relocated to Texas with her now ex-boyfriend, horse trainer Adan Banuelos, over a year ago. And echoing her experience on The Beauty, her time in Fort Worth has also impacted her beauty routine.
“I just put my hair into two little braids, no makeup on, and went about my day,” she said. “Spending time in Texas has shown me so many different kinds of cowgirls. It’s so fun. Some of them have their hair blown out under their cowboy hat with a full face of makeup on and diamonds, others like to have their hair in a messy ponytail and just spend all their time with their horses.”
She added, “I think that I’m right in the middle of both of those.”

Beyond building her cowgirl glam, Bella is also focused on her inner peace.
“It’s a year of growth and being able to understand yourself better,” Bella explained. “And for me, trusting my intuition and walking in my truth to see what comes up along the way is really important to me.”
