Before Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, Play Sifu and More on Xbox Game Pass

3 weeks ago 5

Xbox Game Pass Ultimate -- a CNET Editors' Choice award pick -- offers hundreds of games you can play on your Xbox Series X, Series S, Xbox One and PC or mobile device for $20 a month. A subscription gets you access to a large library of games with new titles -- like Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 -- added every month, plus other benefits, like online multiplayer and deals on non-Game Pass titles.

Microsoft is set to bring Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 to Game Pass on the day it launches, Oct. 25, but before that, the company plans to add these games to the service.

MLB The Show 24 (console)

Available now.

Microsoft added this game to Game Pass Ultimate in March, but it's bringing the sports franchise to Game Pass Standard too. You can play as your favorite baseball team, get them to the World Series and make them a dynasty. This installment in the baseball series also includes new pitcher animations to keep runners on their toes, enhanced pitching mechanics and more.

Open Roads (console)

Available now.

Game Pass Standard subscribers also get this mystery-thriller game a few months after Game Pass Ultimate subscribers got it. Opal and Tess -- mother and daughter voiced by actresses Keri Russell and Kaitlyn Dever -- are on a road trip adventure to explore some abandoned family properties and uncover the truth about their family's history.

Sifu

Available now.

This beat 'em up game follows your character as they seek revenge against the people who killed their father, a martial arts school's sifu, or master. There are tight combat mechanics and loads of cinematic martial arts action, but the resurrection system stands out. Each time your character dies, they are revived a little older and with less health, but with more powerful attacks. Die too many times and you restart the level entirely.

Mad Streets

Available now.

Get ready to smile while getting punched in the face in this party-style fighting game. Mad Streets is a physics-based brawler filled with goofy animations, ridiculous brawls and the occasional grocery store food fight. These aren't one-on-one fights -- they're chaotic free-for-alls to determine who's the toughest player around.

Inscryption

Available: Oct. 10

Escape room puzzles, deck-building roguelike mechanics and psychological horror combine to make this award-winning card-based odyssey. The cards in this game are inscribed with dark secrets, and they might be able to help you unlock the mystery behind the cabin you're stuck in. Or the cards could lead you to your doom.

Games leaving Game Pass soon

Microsoft is adding those games to Game Pass soon, but it's also removing five others on Oct. 15. That means you still have some time to finish your campaign or any side quests before you'll have to buy these games separately.
