BBC radio host John Spencer-Barnes has been flooded with messages of support after he revealed he had checked into hospital.
The Radio 5 live presenter, 63, took to social media on Tuesday to share that he had undergone an operation at a hospital in Lancashire.
'I had nothing better to do today so I decided to check into Burnley General Hospital for an operation,' he wrote on X, formerly Twitter, as he shared a snap from his hospital bed. 'I'll see you on the other side.'
It is John's second hospital stint in a matter months after he was rushed in following the development of stroke-like symptoms.
Fans of the radio host were quick to send their well-wishes to John amid his recovery from an unknown surgery.
They wrote: 'If you want some grapes and a bottle of wine sneaked in I'm only 15 minutes away from Burnley. Hope all goes well.'

It comes after John had another hospital stint back in July, revealing he had developed some stroke symptoms.
The presenter said he had taken himself to see medics after being concerned by his symptoms - detailing that he had already suffered two strokes in 2015.
'I've been released from hospital following the manifestation of some stroke related symptoms,' he wrote.
'After having two strokes in 2015 it’s something that I'm anxious to avoid again.
'The examination suggested there’s no immediate concerns and I'm being referred for more tests this week.'

John started out in radio as a freelance broadcaster at BRMB in Aston, Birmingham, in the mid 1980s.
Following this, he went on to be the news editor of the UK's first ever community radio station.
In 1994, while based in Preston, Manchester, John was news editor at Rock FM.
He worked there at the time of the Manchester IRA bombing, which took two of the city's main stations off air.

However John stepped in and hosted an emergency news broadcast from a small studio in Preston.
In recent years John has been working at the BBC, moving across several stations including Lancashire, Lancaster and Morecambe Bay.
He then went freelance in 2021 and regularly snaps of himself presenting shows on BBC Radio 5 Live and BBC Radio Shropshire.
