Country singer Bailey Zimmerman is facing a felony charge for criminal damage to property over $1,000 and a misdemeanor for falsely obtaining services after allegedly damaging a New Mexico hotel room.
Bailey Zimmerman Faces Felony Charge, Arrest Warrant for Hotel Damage
Bailey Zimmerman is in hot water with New Mexico authorities.
The country music star is facing is a fourth-degree felony for criminal damage to property over $1,000 and a misdemeanor for falsely obtaining services in charges filed on June 18, according to court records viewed by E! News.
E! has reached out to Zimmerman's rep for comment but hasn't heard back.
The charges were filed after Zimmerman allegedly caused more than $16,000 worth of damage to the Sandia Resort and Casino in Albuquerque on May 27, the same day he canceled his concert at the hotel, per an arrest affidavit obtained by People.
The warrant said the 26-year-old "appeared to be exhibiting signs of intoxication" during sound check that day, allegedly stumbling into the amphitheater “before tripping over the stage and falling backward." He then allegedly threw two cymbals, kicked a drum set, pushed a guitarist and knocked down a microphone before "angrily" leaving the stage.
According to the arrest warrant, housekeeping found Zimmerman’s hotel room in ruins the following morning. The affidavit said the wreckage included a broken phone, a hole in the wall and damage to a TV, coffee table and chairs, two of which were missing.
The affidavit also alleged that Zimmerman charged $400 in alcohol to the room but did not pay his bill when he left the hotel.
Zimmerman went on to perform at the 2026 CMA Fest in Nashville on June 7, before heading to Canada to continue his Different Night Same Rodeo Tour.
His next show is scheduled for June 25 at the Country Drive Music Festival in Nebraska.
