Laura Byrne revealed on Friday the shock discovery she recently made on her daughter Marlie Mae's L.O.L Doll.

The Bachelor star, 38, said on her Life Uncut podcast she bought a new doll for her child, five, but was forced to take it away when she noticed an 'inappropriate' detail.

She explained to co-host Brittany Hockley the child's toy was wearing a 'fluro yellow G-string' under its clothes and looked 'very s***ty'.

'I am absolutely...gobsmacked. [Marlie] got one [doll] the other day... it's very adult looking clothing, which I guess is like the old Barbie,' Laura said.

'But you take its pants off, as kids do when they're getting them changed, and it's wearing a yellow G-string. This doll is wearing a yellow G-string. Fluro yellow.

'I was like, I really like that G-string, but it's so inappropriate for a kid's doll that's five years old. Really hypersexualised for a child's toy.'

When colleague Brittany, 37, pushed for more detail, Laura said: 'I don't want to s**t shame a doll, but it's very s***ty. It's a very s***ty toy.'

It's not Laura's only negative run-in with a doll, as she was forced to tearfully apologise in 2021 when she called a Down Syndrome doll 'scary'

The reality TV star posted to Instagram after receiving a deluge of messages from fans correcting the mistake she made during a shopping trip to K-Mart.

Earlier in the day, she shared a clip of herself and daughter Marlie, who was one at the time, looking at a doll in the toy section of the department store.

The mother of two then filmed the $15 K-mart inclusivity doll on the shelf, and said: 'This baby here is truly petrifying, that is a scary AF [scary as f**k] doll.'

Visible in her video was the doll's name and description, which read: 'Baby Amelia with Down Syndrome.'

Some time later, the former reality star returned to her Instagram Story and accepted accountability for her words while making a remorseful apology.

'I'm probably drawing attention to something that - f**k me I can't even begin to describe how sorry I am,' she began.

The podcaster explained that she had received a 'whole heap of messages' from her followers in response to the Stories she had shared.

'I put up a story, Marlie and I were running through K-Mart and I was like "this doll looks scary AF" is exactly what I said.'

She told her followers that she 'genuinely just thought' the doll 'looked tired'.

'So many of you guys have messaged me to let me know that it was actually an inclusivity doll, and I feel sick to my stomach for the mistake that I made,' she said.

Laura began to tear up as she added: 'I had no idea and I'm really, really sorry for offending anyone, it was totally unintentional.'

The former reality TV star shares Marlie Mae and daughter Lola, three, with husband Matty 'J' Johnson who she met on The Bachelor in 2017.
