Marvel has dropped a new trailer for Avengers: Doomsday, which teased the arrival of Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom, the most formidable foe our heroes have faced yet.
The trailer was shown in the room at CinemaCon as part of Disney‘s presentation Thursday in Las Vegas.
“Something’s coming, something we may not be able to deter,” said Patrick Stewart’s Professor Xavier. “Before this day is done, we will be faced with an unthinkable decision.”
Thor said “we’re going to need a miracle” to bring Doom down — but thankfully, it seems he has one in Steve Rogers (Chris Evans), who returns for the first time since Avengers: Endgame in 2019.
Other Marvel characters we saw coming together in the trailer to combat Doom included Shang-Chi (Simu Liu), Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh) and the Thunderbolts, Namor (Tenoch Huerta) and the Black Panthers, Gambit (Channing Tatum), the Fantastic Four, and Magneto (Ian McKellen), to name just a few.
