Australian reality star EXPOSED for 'pretending to be gay': TV personality had a fake relationship with a male 30 years younger than him for $5,000

Married At First Sight's Nasser Sultan faked being in a gay relationship with a man 30 years his junior following his stint on the dating show in 2018.

Radio producer Joshua Fox, who has previously worked with multiple Australian reality stars on their media strategies and social content, made the revelation in his new book 'What You Into?' whilst documenting his media career.

He explained how the former reality star staged paparazzi pictures on a date with 21-year-old fashion student Eyob Geist whilst making $5000 from the speculation.

In an extract shared with Daily Mail Australia, Joshua revealed he first met Nasser in early 2018 and they came up with publicity stunts to keep him in the press.

'Married at First Sight is described by Channel Nine as a social experiment and Nasser quickly became my own social experiment,' he wrote.

'He told me he was willing to do anything to remain relevant, and I explained that, as he was a not particularly-well-liked 51-year-old man, we'd have to get creative.'

Joshua than explained how Nasser came up with the idea to lean into speculation surrounding his sexuality, and made $5,000 from one set of pictures of him on a date with a 21-year-old male.

'The story, seemingly confirming what fans of the show had already suspected about Nasser, went so viral that we quickly arranged a second set of pictures that sold for $3000,' he wrote.

Nasser told Daily Mail Australia on Wednesday the 'fake' images helped launch his media career.

'I had got off the show and the media was wondering whether I was gay or not because I was the only one that didn't sleep with my wife at the time. So Josh came up with this idea and approached me,' he explained.

'I told him I wanted money for this because I wasn't doing it for free. So they paid me the money and put me on the cover of the magazine.'

Nasser continued: 'I got some random person and pretended that me and him were dating and took the shots. Within an hour and a half, it had a million hits.'

'That's what made my name get out there and then there was an interest from the media.'

Former Australian magazine NW published images at the time of Nasser enjoying a 'boozy' lunch with Eyob, who was 30 years his junior.

'They definitely looked like more than friends... Nasser couldn't keep his hands off him!' a source allegedly told the magazine at the time.

'They tried to keep a low profile, but after a couple of drinks they didn't seem to mind who noticed them.'

The insider continued: 'At one point Nasser was holding the guy's hand and seemed to kiss him on the cheek while whispering in his ear.'

After questions were raised about Nasser's sexuality following his appearance on MAFS, he told The Kyle & Jackie O Show: 'I am 110 per cent not gay.'

He added: 'I live in the gay community, trust me... If I was gay, I'd be a rock star! If I was gay I'd live the lifestyle of it... I'm 100 million per cent straight.'
