Australian influencer who underwent controversial Bali 'Barbie Waist' surgery shows what she used to look like after revealing the 'insane' results of her procedure

She made headlines after undergoing the controversial 'Barbie Waist' surgery in Bali two months ago. 

And Australian influencer Matilda Baxter, 21, has now shocked fans again, this time by revealing how different she looked just three years ago. 

Matilda, who goes by the online moniker Tilds Search, took to Instagram Stories on Monday with a throwback video of herself posing in a skimpy pink mini dress back in 2023. 

She contrasted this to a recent video of herself strutting around showing off her tiny waist.

In this video a visibly slimmer and more bronzed Tilds showcased her newly-acquired hourglass figure in a pink sequined crop top, matching skirt and post-operative corset. 

The 2026 clip shows Tilds with sleeker hair and makeup look, while her lips and cheekbones appear more prominent - possibly due to the use of dermal fillers. 

In the caption, she wrote: 'Anyone saying 2023 was better clearly can't afford the 2026 version of me. Get well soon.' 

Tilds has sparked plenty of concern in the weeks after her rib contouring procedure. 

Late last month, she raised eyebrows after uploading a video of herself wearing lingerie as she showed off her new figure.

'It looks insane. Not edited. Waist where?' she said.

Followers flocked to the comments of her video to express their concern over Tilds' slimmed-down frame.

'All I am seeing is the bones,' one person wrote, while another added: 'Omg I remember when I looked like this. I was so sick.'

'Please eat more, your ribs are freaking me out,' said a third.

'I'm not here to negatively judge but more protein and carbohydrates are needed. Stay safe and look after your health people,' someone else commented. 

Another critic lashed out at Tilds and accused her of promoting unrealistic body standards to young women.

'This is disgraceful, to portray an image and encourage other young girls or women to think it's normal to look like this,' they said. 

However, many fans came to the defence of Tilds, praising her new look and saying people shouldn't judge her for the choices she makes about her own body. 

'Comments are NOT it. This woman is educated and makes her own informed choices. She is transparent AF! Don't like it? Roll on!' wrote one.

'You look so beautiful you should be a top model, Victoria's Secret!' another commented.

'Tilds, 'Incomparably Magnificent' is never going to be an overused or misunderstood descriptor when it comes to you,' said a third.

'Girl you are starting to look unreal,' someone else complimented.
