EXCLUSIVE: Robert and Michelle King’s new CBS series, Cupertino, has cast Nik Dodani (Atypical) as a series regular. He joins the previously announced cast of Mike Colter, Rachel Keller, Renee Elise Goldsberry, and Ella Stiller in the drama created by Robert and Michelle King (The Good WifeThe Good Fight).

Cupertino is a David vs. Goliath legal drama set in the heart of Silicon Valley that follows Michael (Colter), a lawyer who is being cheated out of his stock options by his former employer, a tech start-up. Refusing to back down, he joins forces with Olivia, another recently fired attorney, to represent those taken advantage of by the tech elite and help them fight back in a high-stakes battle against the Goliaths controlling Silicon Valley.

Dodani will play Vik, a coder with a comic sensibility who seeks out Michael and Olivia for representation in a last-ditch effort when his own tech-employer turns against him.

Goldsberry will play Renee, a brilliant opposing attorney who has a professional and romantic history with Michael, and Stiller as Christy, a young assistant at the new start-up law firm in Cupertino that’s at the heart of the story.

The Kings will write and serve as executive producers on Cupertino under their banner, King Size Productions, with Robert King set to direct the premiere episode. Liz Glotzer also serves as executive producer.

Dodani’s breakout performance in Netflix’s Atypical launched his career as an actor, comedian, writer, and director. As an actor, he most recently starred in Craig Johnson’s Max Original film The Parenting, the Warner Brothers’ feature film Twisters, Mark, Mary & Some Other People, and Dear Evan Hansen. Additional TV credits include the Netflix series Trinkets and the CBS multi-camera sitcom Murphy Brown. Dodani is repped by Paradigm and Gang, Tyre, Ramer.
