As 'fame hungry' Lewis Hamilton earns 'power couple' status with Kim Kardashian - here's how their bank balances, A-list connections and wardrobes compare

As one of the most famous women in the world who possesses both beauty and brains, it can be easy to see why Kim Kardashian intimidates men. 

Yet it's now been claimed that she's found a man who meet her standards - with the reality star, 45, said to be enjoying a secret romance with F1 ace Lewis Hamilton. 

Lewis, 41, has long been friendly with the Kardashian clan, befriending Kanye West and the Jenners after meeting Kim for the first time at the GQ Man Of The Year Awards in 2014.

Indeed, when Kim and Lewis previously described their perfect partners, they may as well have been describing each other, with both putting an emphasis on good family values. 

However, while they may seem well suited, sources have told Daily Mail that 'fame hungry' Lewis' 'relationship' with Kim isn't all as it seems. You can read more about that here. 

Despite questions swirling about Kim and Lewis' relationship that hasn't stopped them earning elite 'power couple' status, with both stars boasting a healthy bank balance and A-list contacts. 

So how do they compare? Daily Mail reveals all.  

Finances 

Kim previously confessed she felt 'financially unsafe' during her marriage to Kanye, despite the rapper boasting a $2.7 million net worth. 

She revealed that Kanye had unpredictable spending habits, recalling times when he suddenly purchased and gave away multiple Lamborghinis at a time. 

In contrast, Lewis' net worth is just $450 million, however, he has spoken at length about the importance of giving back and donates large sums of his wealth to charity. 

He poured £20 million into launching his charity Mission 44 in 2021, a foundation designed to inclusive education, increase diversity in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) careers, and empower  young people to overcome social injustice.

Lewis, who is Britain's richest sportsperson, previously spoke of his discomfort at the rich-poor divide. 

He said on Jay Shetty's On Purpose podcast: 'One of the things I struggle with every day is, and it’s just how life is and it’s been the way for thousands of years, is there is such a disparity between the wealthy and the poor.

'When you drive around L.A., there’s still so many people living on the streets.

'You shouldn’t be able to have billions. There should be a limit to how much you can have. Because there’s enough to go around to everyone.'

While Kim is indeed a billionaire, with a $1.9 billion net worth, she too has poured millions into charitable initiatives over the years. 

She also prides herself on not being frivolous with her spending and previously told Wealthsimple: ' I’m really on top of my financial situation. 

'I do everything. I see everything, write every cheque, I'm on top of every last detail. I was always taught to be like that. 

'It’s definitely helpful to have a manager or someone pay your bills so they go out on time. But I think once you start giving too much control away, you could really just lose sight of what you have and what you need to do, especially if you spend a lot and have a big lifestyle.'

Social circle

Lewis has been friends with Justin Bieber for a decade, after the singer made a point of congratulating Lewis on his 2016 Monaco GP win. 

Lewis has also long been friends with Brazilian footballer Neymar, with the pair describing each other as 'brothers'. 

Ahead of Lewis' stint in the Sao Paulo Grand Prix, Neymar touchingly gifted the driver a pair of custom-designed PUMA soccer boots along with a touching message.

He said in a video: 'Hello Lewis. I spoke with PUMA to send you a gift that has everything to do with us, fast, stylish and striking. 

'I hope you really like the gift and enjoy Brazil. We are in this together, I love you, miss you.'

Neymar is also friendly with Kim, having starred in the campaign for her debut SKIMS menswear range in 2023. 

Lewis also has a strong bond with another sporting icon, David Beckham. 

The pair are often spotted together at showbiz events and Lewis has credited David with inspiring him to take up sports. 

Lewis also has friendships with the likes of Pharrell Williams, Jay-Z, Drake, and Elton John.

Yet he insisted he isn't swayed by the Hollywood lifestyle writing in his BBC Sports column: 'People think I hang around with celebrities all the time, but that's not true at all...

'I get to meet incredible people like Tom Cruise, Will Smith and Denzel Washington, but it's very rare I have celebrities at a race with me. 

'Most of the time, my family and friends are there.'

Meanwhile, Kim also boasts an A-list friendship group that includes the likes of Paris Hilton, Lauren Sanchez and La La Anthony. 

Her relationship with Paris has been tumultuous since Kim appeared on The Simple Life working as Paris' assistant and stylist. 

While their friendship faded as Kim's fame rose, with Paris famously slating Kim's bottom for looking like 'cottage cheese' they have remained close since reconciling in 2014. 

Kim also has a bond with presenter Lauren, and attended her hen do ahead of Lauren's wedding to Jeff Bezos. 

'Kim loves Lauren because she has zero snobbery, she is a totally down-to-earth girl's girl who never tries to overshadow Kim and is always quick with a compliment,' a source previously told Daily Mail.

'Kim likes that Lauren never tries to compete with her. Lauren does not want to be a reality TV star or actress or makeup mogul. She is fine with being Lauren Sanchez as she is.'

Kim befriended La La after meeting at a group dinner in 2009, with the actress making frequent appearances on Keeping Up With the Kardashians. 

La La said of their bond: 'She’s an amazing friend. She offers great advice, style tips.

'We’re always that to each other and I think you’re always gonna be that to your friends, you’re always gonna offer support. We’re friends. We’re always there for each other no matter what.'

Kim previously said of her inner circle: 'I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for my friends. Like, I have the best friends and they’re super supportive. 

'I think that’s probably why I’ve never seen a therapist, is because I have the best friends in the entire world and they mean everything to me.'

Career 

Lewis has become one of the world's leading sportspeople since emerging in F1 in 2007 with McLaren, winning his first title in 2008, before switching to Mercedes and beginning an era of complete domination. 

In 2020, he made history  when he equalled the legendary Michael Schumacher's record with a seventh world-title win. Nobody has won more driver championships than the pair in the sport. 

Lewis was also awarded the BBC Sports Personality of the Year award for a second time that year, and was knighted by King Charles in 2021. 

Kim is probably best known for starring on one of reality TV's most successful shows, Keeping Up With The Kardashians. 

Yet in the 19 years since the show launched, Kim has taken on a number of different career paths. 

She launched KKW Beauty in 2017 and KKW Fragrance shortly after but its SKIMS that is widely considered her most successful and respected business venture.

Kim launched the shapewear brand in 2019 and it's now valued at over $4 billion, with the likes of Kate Moss, Megan Fox and Sabrina Carpenter all starring in brand campaigns. 

She is now focusing on a law career, following in the footsteps of her late father Robert Kardashian, who famously defended OJ Simpson during his 1995 murder trial. 

Kim passed the 'baby bar' on her fourth try back in December 2021, clearing the first major hurdle on her way to becoming a licensed attorney.

Now, she faces the notoriously brutal California bar, considered the hardest in the nation, with one of the lowest pass rates.

She failed the exam last year but has vowed to keep trying.  

Past loves  

Lewis was famously in an on-off relationship with Pussycat Dolls star Nicole Scherzinger from 2007 until their final split in 2015.

The reason for the final split had been put down to the pressures of a long-distance relationship, with Lewis frequently travelling as part of the sprawling F1 circuit.

'I'm devastated that it didn't work out. It was the hardest decision we had to make, but we made it together,' Nicole said in 2015. 'We wish nothing but happiness and the very best for one another.'

Since then, the F1 star has been linked to the likes of Rita Ora, Sofia Vergara and Shakira.  

Meanwhile, Kim's love life has regularly played out in front of the cameras. 

The reality star has been married three times. First to Damon Thomas, whom she split from in 2003 after three years of marriage. 

Then there was her famous 72-day marriage to NBA player Kris Humphries, with their divorce finalised in 2013. 

Finally, she tied the knot with rapper Kanye in 2014, with the couple welcoming North, Saint, Chicago and Psalm before they split in 2021. 

After Kanye she dated SNL veteran Pete Davidson in 2022. The actress then romanced Odell Beckham Jr from September 2023 to April 2024.

Fashion 

Lewis is well known for his quirky sense of style and has revealed that his love of fashion began through looking at magazines, films and music videos in childhood. 

After being inspired by the likes of Cab Calloway and André Leon Talley, Lewis began experimenting with his style, finding bargain designer pieces at thrift stores and growing the confidence to realise who he really was.

And after being made to feel uncomfortable in the 'horrible' fashions expected of F1 drivers, Lewis explained how he finally pushed the boundaries of fashion and began wearing what he wanted to races.

He told Vogue: 'When I first signed with F1 I was only allowed to wear suits and team kits, and it was horrible. I didn’t feel comfortable, and I didn’t feel like I was able to be myself.

'Eventually, I had the courage to push beyond those boundaries and say, “Look, I want to turn up to the track in what I want to wear. I’m here now—you can’t get rid of me or change the way I dress.” The pushback was massive.'

Kim credits ex-husband Kanye with helping her to learn about fashion. 

'I always thought I had really good style... until I met my husband and he told me that I had the worst style,' she said during a panel in 2018. 

'He was really nice about it and cleaned out my whole closet. I probably had 250 pairs of shoes and when we were done cleaning it out, I had two pairs left and I cried.'

Kim added that later, Kanye surprised her with a wardrobe full of new clothing. 

She recalled: 'There were racks of clothes of designers I have never heard of before like Lanvin and Givenchy. 

'I wanted to learn. I wasn’t offended when he said that. When he did that he wanted to teach me.'
