Ark: Survival Ascended Love Ascended Event & Rewards Guide

Ark: Survival Ascended has revealed details of its Valentine's Day event for 2025, Love Ascended. This yearly, time-limited event is always held in February, celebrating all things pink and heart-shaped with a series of unique rewards for players who participate. February 2025 is no different for Ark fans, with Love Ascended bringing a new set of tames, EXP boosts, and cosmetic items to Survival Ascended. Although some of these items are repeated every year, there's always a fresh crop for longtime Ark players who have collected most of the available loot already.

This year's Love Ascended lands smack in the middle of two major Ark: Survival Ascended DLC expansions: Extinction, which was released in December, and Ragnarok, which is due out in April after delays. It provides a great incentive for anyone who's lapsed in their regular Ark check-ins to return to the game, racking up some unique rewards and one-of-a-kind tames before the event is over. 2025's Love Ascended event runs from February 12 (10 AM PST) to February 19 (10 AM PST) - here's your guide to all the rewards available.

All Creatures In Ark’s 2025 Love Ascended Event

All New & Returning Creatures

Ark: Survival Ascended's 2025 Valentine's Day event features three new and returning creatures, listed here. Below, you'll also find a quick look at how to find them, and what they might provide if you do.

• Lovebirds (new)
• Love Bugs
• VDay Coel

Of the three, we know the least about Lovebirds, since they're a new addition for this year. Obviously, they'll be some kind of avian creature, but just where players will encounter them, how they'll be able to interact with them, and what rewards they'll get for doing so are unknown. Love Bugs return from previous years. These smaller, highly aggressive variants of Rhyniognatha can be found all around various maps. While they can't be tamed, they'll drop Love Bug Hearts - a special kind of event item that can be used to craft various rewards.

In addition, the Valentine's Day Coelacanth variant returns for Love Ascended 2025. This is a pink-tinted version of the regular coelacanth, a common fish that can be found everywhere throughout Ark. It can be caught using a Love Bug Heart as bait, possibly yielding Boxes o' Chocolate (which have some new mechanics this year), Dino Candies, or Chibis.

New & Returning Cosmetic Items For Love Ascended 2025

A number of cosmetic items will also be returning in the 2025 edition of Love Ascended. These include skins, which change the appearance of player characters' weapons, armor, and furniture, and creature colors, which will be applied to wild dinos throughout the world. Let's look at the skins first:

Now, on to creature colors. During the Love Ascended event, certain wild creatures will randomly spawn in the below colors. This year, those colors include:

• Dino Light Purple

If a player finds a dino in one of these unique shades, they can tame them for an especially colorful companion. There are no new creature colors for this year's event.

Chibis, Items, & Emotes In Love Ascended Event

Everything Else In Love Ascended 2025

Besides all that, there are a handful of other items coming to Ark's 2025 Love Ascended event, beginning with Chibis. Chibis are sort of like the equivalent to Neopets' Petpets: tiny pets you can carry along with you, that don't do much apart from occasionally leveling up. This year's Love Ascended includes two new Chibis, both new to Ark:

• Chibi-Lovebird (new)
• Chibi Pair-o-Saurs (new)

Next, event items: these unique collectibles can be found during Love Ascended, and used to complete some of its unique activities, or crafted into some of its unique skins. Nothing new here this year; it's all the same stuff as the last Valentine's Day event. However, the Box o' Chocolates has been given an additional effect, reducing the mating cooldown of tames it's fed to by 20%.

And finally, there are two new (and three returning) emotes in Love Ascended 2025. These in-game gestures allow players to gesture playfully to others they encounter.
