Breezy Johnson Gets Engaged to Connor Watkins at Olympics 2026 Finish Line
Chloe Kim may have left the 2026 Olympics with new jewelry.
But that only includes a new silver medal, not an engagement ring, despite what a now-viral picture of her boyfriend and NFL player Myles Garrett seemingly popping the question in Italy would have fans believe.
“Don’t fall for it guys,” Chloe said during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live Feb. 26. “It’s not real.”
In fact, the snowboarder pointed out some obvious flaws with the likely AI-designed image. One, the Chloe in the photo already has a ring on her left ring finger, and two, Myles—with whom Chloe first sparked romance rumors in May 2025—is wearing sunglasses.
After all, she said, “I don't want my man to propose to me with sunglasses on.”
As for how the 25-year-old learned she’d gotten “engaged?” It turns out, her fellow Olympian Lindsey Vonn fell for the fake image.
“I hope she doesn't get mad at me for sharing this,” Chloe began, “but she texts me. She's like, ‘Oh my gosh, congrats. And I'm like, ‘Oh, thank you, but you already congratulated me for my medal. So, thanks again.’ She’s like, ‘On the engagement.’ I'm like, ‘What?’”
It was then that she googled “Chloe Kim engaged” and learned that Myles had apparently popped the question when she wasn’t looking.
Thankfully, other people in the three-time medalist’s life weren’t as easily fooled.

“My mom calls me and she's like, ‘Oh my gosh, Chloe, I saw that AI picture of you getting proposed to,’” she recalled. “She was like, ‘You would never wear something like that.’”
As for when Myles may potentially take a knee for Chloe, Jimmy Kimmel asked if the sizable diamond in the fake engagement picture would be big enough for the Olympian.
“Oh my gosh, yes of course,” Chloe assured him. “I think getting engaged is such a beautiful thing, and I think if you find the right person—I mean, this is how I feel about it—anything works. Like it could be a Ring Pop, I don't care.”
But while Chloe didn’t leave the Olympics an engaged woman, a few of her fellow Team USA athletes did. Not only did skier Breezy Johnson’s boyfriend proposed on the slopes of Italy, but hockey player Hilary Knight also popped the question to fellow Olympian Brittany Bowe.

For Hilary, the moment was almost more nerve-wracking than her gold medal game.
“Call me crazy, but doing it before the gold medal game it just seemed fitting for us,” Hilary told NBC News. “We found one another through the Olympics and it was just really special.”
Plus, she added, “To cap it all off with the gold medal is awesome.”
