While Apple TV may not be thought of in the same light as other, larger streaming services like Netflix and Prime Video, it has one of the most impressive libraries of original content. The streamer just kicked things off less than 10 years ago with original shows like See (Jason Momoa), but it has since become one of the premier homes online for the best sci-fi shows and most entertaining feature films. Just late last year, Apple TV debuted one of the best sci-fi shows of the last few years with Pluribus. The series stars Rhea Seehorn, and it hails from Breaking Bad creator Vince Gilligan. It shattered records on its way to becoming the most-watched Apple TV show of all time. It’s even been renewed for Season 2.

The series that Pluribus had to claw past to reach the top of Apple TV streaming charts was Severance, the hit series directed and produced by Ben Stiller and starring Adam Scott. Severance is set in a dystopian society where some employees at a company called Lumon Industries opt to undergo a procedure known as severance, which completely separates their work memories from their home memories. The second season of Severance debuted on Apple TV around this time last year, and although it’s been off the air for months now, it is still one of the most popular shows on streaming charts. Severance has also been renewed for Season 3, and although Ben Stiller promised that the wait for Season 3 would be less than that of Season 2, the show has yet to begin production over a year removed from airing an episode.

The Best Things To Watch on Apple TV Right Now

While Severance is hanging around on Apple TV streaming charts, it isn’t at the top of watchlists. This title belongs to Hijack, the thriller show starring Idris Elba that is in the heat of its second season. Hijack is still holding strong over Shrinking, the feel-good show starring Jason Segel and Harrison Ford that comes from creator Bill Lawrence (Ted Lasso). As for movies, Apple TV recently debuted the long-awaited Eternity, which stars Miles Teller and Elizabeth Olsen opposite James Bond hopeful Callum Turner. F1 (Brad Pitt) and The Gorge (Anya Taylor-Joy) are also popular on Apple TV right now.

Check out the first two seasons of Severance on Apple TV, and stay tuned to Collider for more streaming updates.
