Apple TV's four-part masterpiece has crossed a massive milestone, becoming a 1,000 day streaming sensation. Apple TV is home to a number of high-profile TV shows that have made waves over the years, many of which have also achieved critical acclaim. From sci-fi epics like For All Mankind and Silo, to more grounded stories like the sports show Stick and comedy-drama Margo's Got Money Troubles, the streaming service has provided plenty of memorable tales across a vast array of genres. This includes stories that have stuck for quite a long time.
One of those stories is that of the sports comedy drama Ted Lasso. The series follows its title character, played by Jason Sudeikis, an American football coach who is recruited to coach the fictional A.F.C. Richmond soccer team in England, despite having no formal experience as a soccer coach. The series follows the ups and downs of his new career, alongside the numerous characters he interacts with. Ted Lasso has earned critical acclaim across all four seasons, with critics praising the comedy, heartfelt storytelling, and performances.
Ted Lasso Just Crossed Its Biggest Streaming Milestone Yet
Now, Ted Lasso has crossed its biggest streaming milestone ever, and one of the largest ever for Apple TV overall. According to data from October 23, 2026, Ted Lasso has crossed 1,000 days on Apple TV's Top 10 chart in the United States, just two weeks after the season 4 finale. As of writing, the show is Number 2 in the United States, just behind Slow Horses, which finished airing season 6 two days ago. It's also Number 2 worldwide as of writing, alongside scoring a Number 1 spot in 21 countries across the globe.
Every episode of Ted Lasso has managed to impress viewers, with season 4 still affording the show plenty of success despite how long it took to arrive. The show was thought to have ended in 2023, with the season 3 finale serving as a de facto series finale. However, the show returned earlier this year to begin a new arc of the story, featuring plenty of returning places and faces in the process. This return is what helped the series earn its 1,000-day milestone.
Where Does Season 4 Leave The Hit Series?
As for the future of the series' success, it remains unclear what could happen next. Ted Lasso season 4 ended with Ted no longer the coach of his current team, the Richmond women's soccer team, and promoting Alice (Tanya Reynolds) to take his place. He's now acting as the assistant manager for the team, which puts him in a very different position to where he was previously. This is the biggest cliffhanger of the show, but with Ted Lasso season 5 not yet confirmed, it's unclear when, or if, the show will come back.
Since Ted Lasso is so popular, though, it seems almost guaranteed for the series to come back at some point in the future. Even if it doesn't, its popularity has been clear for years, and is what's helped it earn such a rare achievement on the streaming platform. Although its future on Apple TV is unknown, the show has made an impact that can never be forgotten.
