For TV viewers who want access to Apple TV Plus shows, including Ted Lasso, Severance and Bad Monkey, there's a surprising new place to subscribe: Amazon Prime Video.
The retail giant has struck a deal with the world's largest tech company to offer Apple's streaming service as a $10 monthly add-on subscription for Prime Video customers. Amazon already offers add-on subscriptions to a growing stable of more than 100 streaming services including Starz, Paramount Plus, Max, AMC Plus, Shudder, Cinemax, Crunchyroll and BET Plus, among others.
Amazon did not disclose terms of the deal, but the company earns a percentage of subscription fees from the add-ons it sells to its Prime Video customers.

"As we continue to expand our offering and make it easy for customers to personalize their streaming experience directly in one app, we are proud to welcome Apple TV Plus and its popular and critically acclaimed shows, films and events to Prime Video," said Mike Hopkins, head of Prime Video and Amazon MGM Studios.
In addition to its TV shows, Apple has also won acclaim for movies on its Apple TV Plus service, including Killers of the Flower Moon, which earned 10 Oscar nominations, and CODA, which won the Best Picture Oscar in 2022.
Amazon said the Apple TV Plus add-on will be available sometime in October and will allow viewers to watch its content directly through the Prime Video app.
As reported by Variety, Hopkins told media this week that the deal will give its streaming service extended reach globally, saying Apple TV Plus can now reach "hundreds of millions of subscribers around the world."
The price is the same as what Apple offers its subscribers through its own hardware and app, $10 a month, although buying an Apple device such as an iPhone still entitles buyers to three months of the service free. Apple also offers a seven-day free trial for Apple TV Plus, and it's a bundle option for Apple One, which starts at $19.95 and also includes Apple Music, Apple Arcade and iCloud storage.
