Apple announced on Tuesday it will add a game based on the popular TV game show Wheel of Fortune and other games to its Apple Arcade library on Nov. 7.
Apple Arcade, a CNET Editors' Choice Award pick, is filled with familiar and classic games, alongside exclusive titles, that you can play for $7 a month (£7, AU$10). You can find many of these games in the App Store, but they have paywalls and ads that might hinder your gaming experience. Using an Apple Arcade subscription, you can play each game without paywalls and ads, a feature usually denoted by "Plus" in the game's name.
Apple added the viral card game Balatro and other games to the service recently, and it will add these games in November.
Wheel of Fortune Daily
Developer: Frosty Pop Games
Spin the wheel, tackle brain teasers and solve daily puzzles in this mobile game based on the classic game show. New puzzles from all kinds of topics -- like food, pop culture and more -- are added to this game every day so there's always something fresh to play. Hopefully, Pat Sajak and Vanna White make an appearance.
Drive Ahead! Carcade
Developer: Dodreams Fairytale Company
Sure, racing games are fun, but if you just want to crash into the other cars like you're in a demolition derby, this game is for you. The goal is to crash into other cars and hit the heads of the other drivers. But watch out because the other drivers are headhunting you too. Drive monster trucks, muscle cars and many other vehicles to give yourself an edge in these chaotic collisions.
Arkanoid vs. Space Invaders Plus
Developer: Taito Corporation
The popular arcade games Arkanoid and Space Invaders clash in this spin on both games. You use a paddle and ball to smash the space invaders crawling down your screen, and you can also deflect attacks back at the invaders. There are over 150 stages and challenging bosses to take down in this blend of classic games.
Texas Hold'em Poker: Pokerist Plus
Developer: KamaGames
You don't need to have ante up a lot of money to play Texas Hold'em anymore. Veteran players can play against card sharks from around the world to become the poker champion, and newcomers can learn the game with easy-to-follow tutorials.
You can access these games in Apple Arcade soon, but there are plenty of other games to play on the service now for $7 per month or $50 annually. You can also try Apple Arcade for free for one month with your first sign-up, or you can get a three-month free trial when you buy a new Apple device. To access Apple Arcade, open the App Store on your iOS or iPadOS device and tap the joystick in the menu bar.
